That in turn was in reply to you questioning if there have ever been any rules regarding gender of competitors. So, we were on the subject of the Olympics, off topic or not, and you were joining in. Now, you say I'm wrong whilst quoting text regarding the golf tournament. To be clear, although you often use ambiguity in your posts as a wriggle, you need to go back and add "golf" to your question, therefore getting tge question to match your wriggling answer.

No. There are rules for same sex sports. It wasn't that long ago, late 70s early 80s, female Olympians needed a "sex certificate" in order to compete. That's all is needed now. Carry a sex certificate for gender at birth. That's the competition you join. Simple.

I doubt there has been a rise in occurances. It's likely the bar has been lowered considerably with regards to what was considered banter and is now considered harassment. I'm not condoning any negative behaviour towards anyone. I'm against discrimination of any kind. It's just, in modern times it's become common place to report what was once considered a mon event. I remember the days women would give as good as they got. Often beating the guys with sarcastic come backs and equally sexist replies. Stopping the guys in their tracks. These days one can't even tell some women how lovely they look without the risk of bring accused of harassment.
