I spent 6 years studying at university (with a couple of years living on campus) then another 5 years working in one.Well, sorry, but I just can't see two well educated girls, one about to start a career in Dentistry and both of whom returned to their room 'early', having participated in drug taking. Judging by their educational backgrounds reported, I can neither see them having been inebriated too!Sorry, I don't agree with your character judgement of educated people.
I'm not saying the 2 girls in question were drug/alcohol (ab)users, but to say they couldn't have because they were educated is a bit nieve.
Edit: sorry, I just saw your other response.

I was thinking double-exorcism.Wow all the barstool pathologists, statisticians and political analysts are out in force here at the ThaiVisa court of last resort. All they need is some knitting needles and a bench from which to pronounce judgment.
I am quite suprised none of the resident TV "experts" has suggested witchcraft...

If amnesty for thaksin is the root of the political crisis, does that imply the political crisis is the square of thaksins head?

um, you started the debate about bills passing legally, now you don't want to get into it.
you missed the bit about the CC intervention, that's what actually stalled it. Legal intervention.which is exactly why they can't stop it... legally.but fits in parliament and storming the chair of the house speaker seemed to stall it at least, so that's probably their best hope, more of the same.
Sorry, I've dragged this OT.
On topic, power in numbers for those who can't see the benefit of the alleged proposal.
i had actually typed a sentence about the CC's involvement, i kid you not. but i deleted it as i didn't want to get into that debate.
"you missed the bit about the CC intervention, that's what actually stalled it. Legal intervention"
the "legal intervention" part is very open to debate.
it's based on whether you interpret something as how it actually reads or not.
but it's open to interpretation, hence why i didn't want to bring it up.
moving on.

if the bill (or process to pass it) is illegal.and how can the dems stop the bill?

Legally is how they are trying to stop it.
so how can they stop it legally?

I pulled this of the interwebs:
Talent
1. A marked innate ability, as for artistic accomplishment. See Synonyms at ability.
2.
a. Natural endowment or ability of a superior quality.
b. A person or group of people having such ability: The company makes good use of its talent.
3. A variable unit of weight and money used in ancient Greece, Rome, and the Middle East.
According to this, she definitely fits definition 2a.

I've seen a big snake at Marina Bar before.
If that is the place on Loy Kroh where all the little bars are located, there is a prostitute that walks around the area with a Burmese python around her neck.
There was a pun intended too *sigh* Stick in the mud.

a lot of people from Sydney don't know that either. This one doesn't even know that Sydney is an Australian city and not a country.

where is the news here?

I don't disagree with what her duty is. I agree in the interests of the country she should be already actively involved.
I think though enough smoke and mirrors exist for her stay out of it and walk away from the "crisis looming" looking at worst like a woman doing mans business.
-
From what I can see, she can't get involved. Yingluck and her family stand to benefit the most from this bill passing, so to be seen as directly involved with the bill will create bigger problems (for her) once it passes.
the bill must pass without her involvement.

I got ahead of my self, the article said Soldiers so i assumed Army. I also wondered why the army and not the police were escorting her. As it turns out the unit is an counter-terrorism unit - and a police unit.
They escorted her because she don´t know the way to parliament, and she don´t know how to use the GPS in her iphone.did the article say the army is in Parliament? escorting the PM about?
has it started?
it's easy to joke about the reasons, or state it was just a photo-op whatever. i'm now curious to why it had to be this particular police unit doing the security.

i wholly agree with everything that has been said. delicious food, good price, big portions, good service, great atmosphere...
though i was a bit thrown when i got the bill, +7% on the list price for VAT. something I wasn't used to. i'm attuned to tax being inclusive in the list price.

for what it is worth, where i come from, law is based in precedent not in parliament i.e.. law comes from the courts.
