True there is a lot of veggie food here, but little of it is of the sort that I want. I can think of many many mexican and italian dishes that just aren't done here. And things like gardenburgers, Boboli crusts, good cheese and other high quality veggie food just aren't in the supermarkets. Most of the veggie food is based on thai meat dishes. ok for some, but doesn't quite do it for me.

Might be something to do with the fact that this country is called Thailand and people on average spend 20 bahts on a meal Vegetarian not 300+???

Go live in Italy and Mexico and there is an awful lot less Thai food than there is here

Retirement visa is the way to go.

You need to apply for a 60day? visa from over there then process the retirement one once here.

Running up to the border each 30 days is NOT the way to go.

Personal choice in a place to live is great but generally looking at the WHOLE picture.

NO WAY could a family of husband wife and two children live to a similar standard in Thailand as UK.

Maybe if all goes well it is reachable but if there are problems it ios not possible on the same funds.

Single Guys that have some cash in the bank that come to live out their lifes with a usually younger Thai GF, ok perfectly possible.
