Not sure if London, or whoever processes the e Visa website applications, are really interested in 3 months of statements. I say this because I applied for and entered in October on a 90 day single entry O Visa based on retirement where the requirement was also 3 months showing £19,000. Not wanting to lose 3 months interest on this amount I emailed them to ask if it was just one month as it used to be. They never replied but I gambled and applied with just one statement showing a balance of £20,000 for just 5 days at the end of the statement. My application was accepted. Thankfully there seems to be some Thai staff with half a brain processing applications abroad who realize how unreasonable this requirement is. It also means planning travel 3 months ahead to keep that kind of money in one's current account. If you apply within 3 months of travel you're not going to be able to show 3 months statements unless you're an idiot who does keep £20,000 in your current account earning bugger all interest! Maybe I was just lucky.

Also, with English standards falling year by year, I'm convinced that the Thai establishment does not want Thai people to learn English. They want them to remain stupid, (thanks to the lousy Thai education system), gullible and blinkered to the outside world and outside values. They can then continue to be controlled, manipulated and exploited for cheap labour, mainly by their Chinese Thai masters.

Last year in the middle of the Isaan town where I live on the grounds of the main government offices, close to the hospital, several hotels and many residential properties, an annual OTOP festival incorporated full on rock concerts from 7:00 p.m. till midnight for 10 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS! The huge stage was set up about 200 meters from my apartment and I could see it out of my window! I was forced to take a holiday out of town until it was over! The concept of 'consideration for others' does not exist in Thailand! I was very pleased that this year's event just recently was held inside Marquees with 5 mini concerts from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. After complaining last year and receiving lots of agreeing posts and likes, I posted a 'thank you for listening' on our local community Facebook page. But later l realized it was probably just toned down to show respect for the late Queen mother and probably be full on again next year...😭.

P.S: You might already know this but if you stop using soap you will not get the build up in showers that is the fatty deposit from the soap. I discovered this when I started using shower gel years ago.

Have you never heard of exchanging money when you arrive which is probably what most people do these days? Especially when carrying cash increases the risk of theft. I've been coming to Thailand for 19 years and never been asked to show it on entry by land or air. But for the last couple of years, due to the increased risk of war and the taking down of the internet, I have carried a cash emergency fund on entry.

Is the online TDAC required when entering via a land border or can you fill in a paper version?

I had the same not long ago, But it was lifted without Facebook even telling me! I presumed it was because having a few months previously been hacked through a Facebook post conning me into logging in to get my Facebook login details, and the hacker sharing a post that would con others into doing the same, when I months later went on a friends Facebook and saw one of the offending posts there, and reiterating a warning to my friend not to fall for it, Facebook blocked me for the post that the hacker had sent. I appealed and as I said the block seemed to have been lifted quite quickly but but without any notification from Facebook.

Not impossible as that is exactly what this guy is supposed to be doing. Hitchhiking from the UK to Australia.
