Perfectly acceptable common sense practice. I always do the same if I'm on my own. What are you going to do if you buy your food and then there's no table on which to eat it? Just stand there like a lemon and wait. To reserve a table while you order your food is the logical thing to do.Why do you presume they take their time? If they r hungry they want to eat just like you and will return to the table quite quickly. In 18 years I've never noticed any tables being reserved or blocked as you say for an unreasonable length of time. And actually Thais usually eat and go in food courts really quickly. They don't sit around chatting like we farangs tend to do. We block the tables more than them in this way.

I have some first hand experience of this. As a landlord in the UK I used to support tenants with mental health problems. During that time I had two young male tenants in their early 20s both of whom had developed schizophrenia from cannabis use in their teens. They both had ex-hippy parents who had considered it harmless; safer than alcohol etc. and allowed them to regularly smoke it at home with their mates. As a result they are unable to work and need Powerful antipsychotic medication to keep them sane for the rest of their lives. Basically they have no future whatsoever! Basically their whole lives have been completely f u c k e d by cannabis. I enjoyed smoking it a bit when I was young and believe that it broadened and enhanced my creative thinking. But I stopped using it when I realized that it was destroying my common sense thinking.

Yes I agree. Im a Snowbird and Im already calculating when I can return to Thailand in October to keep under 180 days for 2024. It will be more than a week later than when I would normally return. My 1st week or so I normally spend in hotels at the beach so Thailand will now lose that income as I will travel straight to my NE residence.

Scam buyers? Its the scam sellers; mainly Chinese, that are now the problem on ebay UK now. And ebay favours them in any dispute hiding behind their dodgy returns guarantee policy and an incomprehensible procedural maze to get a refund. Unlike Lazada which I am really impressed with. Very easy and straightforward to return faulty goods and a refund follows automatically without having to claim.
