  1. So this referred to legal immigration from the EU? Really??
  2. Spot on. The "you want to let all the rapists and criminals in" is childish and silly.
  3. I have no idea what that means.
  4. You clearly implied it by posting a link to a story of a rapist and claimed that we wanted "them" in. I am pretty much anti crime in general, no matter who commits them. Why would I be otherwise? Having compassion does not make me ok with crime. Again it is another ridiculous stretch by you and you know it (at least I hope you do). You're using the same false logic as the people who claim you are pro-Prayut / pro-coup when you criticise Thaksin. It is possible to dislike both.
  5. One rapist does not mean all immigrants are rapists. We have plenty of British born rapists too. So should we ban all Brits from living in the UK? It is a ridiculous point you are trying to make. Jeez.
  6. Ha ha, nice.
  7. Read the post. He already said he's not looking to save money, he just wants the quickest way there. And he also said he's staying near the Shangri-La.
  8. Yes I did, it was the story of a rapist who served prison time and was then deported. And you claim he wants "them" let in. Ugly post and ugly tactic. Try joining the debate like an adult by making reasoned arguments not <deleted> like that.
  9. He wants rapists in? That is one of the most horrendous and ridiculous comments I have ever seen on here. You should be ashamed to make it.
  10. So you're admitting that immigration wasn't a problem prior to leaving the EU. So why was it a key focus of the Leave campaign? "Breaking Point" was 764 people? Do you honestly not see how it was used to (successfully) cajole the racists in the UK to vote leave? You yourself have admitted it wasn't a problem. Weird how now we've taken back control we actually have no control at all and of course it is everyone's fault but the Tory government. It's the bad bad naughty French.
  11. Is your surname Rees-Mogg? It hardly seems comprehensible that you believe what you write otherwise.
  12. Great stats! It makes me wonder what happened between 2018 and now. Obviously the amazingly competent Tories were in power then and now so that didn't change. Tell me, was there anything else significant that happened after 2018 that could have led to this increase in numbers? Did we perhaps leave some sort of union that had rules about this kind of thing? Any ideas?
  13. Wow. You actually think their policy is because they want to save lives?? That is the most outrageous stretch I have ever heard. Nigel Farage would be proud of you for thinking that one up. Geez.
  14. When he was presenter of Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson appeared on The One Show and said that striking public sector workers (nurses, teachers and civil servants) should be shot in front of their families. “I’d have them all shot,” the 51-year-old said on the BBC’s prime-time One Show. “I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families,” he added. “I mean how dare they go on strike when they have got these gilt-edged pensions that are going to be guaranteed while the rest of us have to work for a living?” Nothing happened to him. At all. But call out the current government for their policies and you're immediately off the air.
  15. No, they have no water in them at all - they can't wash utensils, they can't boil anything, they can't make anything that requires water in the recipe. Well done you!
  16. You know he has actually taken refugees in to his home, right? And he is continuing to support them long term. So he's not feigning concern for the poor, he is actually helping. But all you can do is criticise with pathetic "wokeism" comments. Rich people are not allowed to help poor people because it makes them "woke"? He is sticking up for what he believes in and I support him. And I love the fact it winds up all the bitter right wingers on here (and elsewhere). And the UK government are making a mountain out of a molehill to deflect from the racist, illegal policies that they want to shove through next week.
  17. Actually very common to leave your engine running in Dubai, Saudi, and elsewhere in the middle east. Never heard of an explosion. Personally I always turn off for the reasons others have posted but to suggest it is not common anywhere else or it is only because Thais are stupid is not so. https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car-advice/myth-busting-dangerous-refuel-car-engine-running/
  18. This sums it up perfectly for me. The hypocrisy. The government are using this as a smokescreen, it is so obvious. It is also sad and pathetic, just as their policies are. The most awful government the UK has seen in my lifetime.
  19. Not necessarily. It was only ten years ago that that Thai teenage girl lost her legs after falling on to the tracks on the MRT. And Singapore denied her any compensation as she "fell of her own accord". There were no platform barriers.
  20. Guaranteed at least one person will make a comment of this kind in any high speed rail thread. Yawn.
  21. More AN paranoia. Who is blaming it on "us"? Please do tell. As far as I can tell she has gone to police to file a complaint against her abuser, nothing more, nothing less. That massive chip on your shoulder must really weigh you down.
  22. Why do you think every train will stop at every station? It makes perfect sense to have stations along the way just like in any other country with high speed rail - it doesn't mean every train will stop at every one.
