Smokers really are pitiable creatures. So sad. And sadly so many are also pathetically antisocial. Like any junky the only thing that counts for them is getting the next fix regardless of the inconvenience, discomfort and health risks to normal people close by.

Your mind is so narrow it couldn't even accommodate a ciggy paper. And no strength of opthalmologist's prescription could possibly correct the short sightedness.

Thaksin Warns: Thailand's Economic Woes Worse Than 1997 Crisis
BusyB replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You're right. OK - would have inherited. They couldn't form a government because the old clans wanted them out and it wasn't long before they were banned. Rinse and repeat. The only ones allowed to hold power in Thailand are those allowed to hold power. And that has nothing to do with the vote. Very very sad really. Heartbreaking. -
Thaksin Warns: Thailand's Economic Woes Worse Than 1997 Crisis
BusyB replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Actually Move Forward inherited the crisis. But PT benefited/help inveigle the soft putsch which denied them their election victory and they got banned. That's also the answer to the poster who asked if they'll ever change or change in time. The last time that came close they massacred their own people. Now they camouflage things a bit better. Thailand is a kind of Myanmar Lite. -

Hardly surprising ... -
I should think so too. Thinks .... would I just retire to my room to sleep when a mate high on drugs was messing around with a revolver talking about Russian roulette? Think I'd be inclined to disarm him and ditch the bullets. And probably find new room mates as well. Clearly I may well be wrong and the tests will show what was up. But I sniff a whiff of fish sauce here.

Thai Authorities Order Closure of 55 Buildings Post-Quake
BusyB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Perhaps hotels'll start displaying 'Earthquake Secure' and 'Earthquake Inspected to DIN 9200 Standards' stickers and certificates, the same as for the Covid safety/hygiene requirements? We'll have to wear helmets instead of masks. -
Thai Authorities Order Closure of 55 Buildings Post-Quake
BusyB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The numbers sound mighty suspicious. But maybe they've sent a bunch of people around with a laminated list of things to look for, and when they find things they call the authorities who send the experts in to assess the extent of the damage. That would be the only sensible or practical way to do it given the lack of experienced/expert construction engineers. That would also explain the stark drop in public buildings from : classified 6,487 buildings as safe (green), to 361 with moderate damage but still usable (yellow), and 55 with severe structural issues, leading to closure (red). If you have a couple of hundred local authority employees scouring the place for symptoms then 6.5k are possible ... the other 400 or so get closer attention. That's how I'd do it anyway but who knows ...? Thais can also be very practical when the heat's finally on ... As for the private buildings, well ... who's checking them? -

I think under UK law penetration from either end against the will of the victim is classed as rape. Sadly, statistical chances of offenses ever getting to court never mind successful convictions are minimal. I don't see why people like that should be allowed on the streets either - assuming he is actually guilty.

Thailand's Digital Card Chaos: Say Goodbye to TM6, Hello to Confusion!
BusyB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That the TM6 is a useless waste of time goes without saying. But that has nothing to do with the rest of what you say about posters on this thread. The system is here to stay. Some of us are adult enough to recognize that. I can't change the system. But after a tiny bit of investigation I can help and encourage those who are having problems with it and find it daunting, so they don't have problems when they finally do have to deal with it. Because deal with it they must regardless of what you say. You aren't helping them at all. Just a humble sheeplethought. -

No. I didn't. But you knew that didn't you? And your response bears me out. Bloated, arrogant, loud and lacking in self-awareness like all those who claim to be smarter than the rest they think they're above. But I don't care. I just think us sheeple occasionally need to let people like you know that we're not as dim as you think. To give you a chance at self-improvement. I accept that's wasted on you but couldn't care less.
