  1. Anyway if the saints go out of business I could see some of their fan base going to Reading as that is the nearest club to them, without a history of annimosity...they certainly won't go to Portsmouth

There will always be a club in one form or another, theyll just be in the non league somewhere.

  2. I'd like to see all the pesky mutts put down, hate the horrid creatures.

Was attacked by a few in Jomtien years ago but managed to run away and one bit my tracksuit bottoms a few months ago in BKK ...... but yes you can get batons everywhere in BKK.

  3. I've always hated Southampton. I can't remember when it started. Could have been when I was in the Royal Navy in Portsmouth, they also beat us at home at our final game ever, at Maine Road.

But I also concur, this is sad indeed.

Yes i hate them aswell, went to about 10 Newcastle Southampton games at The Dell without us ever winning, they had them 2 le Tissier goals of the season in one game to win, and about 5 or 6 last minute goals to either get a point or win.

Surely someone will buy them theyve got a brand new stadium and can get 30k a week when doing well.

  4. Looks like they may well be going bust ... i hope not.

Matt Le Tissier and the Pinnacle Group's bid to takeover Southampton is over, with the South Coast club now days from going out of business.

Saints legend Le Tissier, the hero of many a relegation battle as a player, will not be the club's saviour off the field after the Pinnacle consortium he was backing pulled out of the running to take control.

Administrator Mark Fry is now thought to be left with two potential buyers - but said last week he would have to consider starting to wind up the club by Friday.

  5. The reason the little parasite hasnt signed for a club is because if he gets to july 1st without having signed for anyone he gets an extra months wages about 4-500k in compensation .... the greedy useless Welsh <deleted>.

We can thank Freddie Shepherd for that, the man about to buy back Newcastle.

  6. From what i gather if its a but-to-let place you can only get but-to-let mortgages, the only option would be to say its for your official residence and rent it out without telling the mortgage company ... wouldnt have thought theyd care less so long as they receive their money.

Chelsea BS were doing a 10 yr fixed mortgage at 4.5% recently, look into whether they can help.

You'll be looking at a far bigger deposit then what you'd have had to pay 18mths ago.

  7. Oh this is rich. My wife is telling me the police chiefs in La-Un have sacked 7 of their underlings for not passing the tea money upwards. :)

The underling police that are seen in the tourist areas extracting payment in their Mafioso way speak to Thais who are not as high and mighty as themselves like theyre worse then muck ..... so i for one am glad these people who are probably jumped up little Hitlers may one day soon be working in some sweatshop.

  8. Ive a friend who thought he was a bit of a coin/note collector many years ago and he took a genuine 5 pound note that had been misprinted into a coin/stamp collectors shop and asked the man how much he'd give him for it.

After a 2-3 seconds inspection the geezer said in a piss take kind of way .... 5 pounds .... twas the funniest thing ever i thought!

  9. There will be plenty of tickets going around. After I saw a post a while back that the B1,350 tickets were sold out I asked my mate (Thai) to get on to it. He knows someone who works for the Adidas shop and low and behold a couple of days later 4 tickets at B1,350 in hand.

Not being a Scouse supporter I'm just going for my football fix and a good beer. Certainly not going to be in the ground 3 hours before kick off as someone else posted!

Not surprised if you not a lifelong fan :)

Gone are those days of getting to the ground at 1PM for a 3 o clock kick off, thank <deleted>.

Hope no fcuker leaves 10 minutes before the end to beat the traffic as we all know thats impossible in BKK at anytime, you'll need a better excuse.

  10. Im currently getting paid in Euros and will be for the foreseable future.

Does anyone from the UK have a Euro account with one of the British Banks where they can withdraw in Euros or has a ATM/Debit card to use it as a current account ..... if so what are the charges.

I used ot have one with the HSBC but i could only transfer it to Sterling hence if i went to LOS i'd be exchanging currencies twice thus losing out.

  11. notwithstanding that blatter is an offensive gobshite, he does have a point about the ownership and debt issues. english clubs are operating with appalling amounts of debt that other top european clubs do not have, so it does give them an unfair advantage really. valencia, for example, are in deep debt and will probably have to sell their best three or four players this summer to survive. liverpool, united and chelsea are all in far more debt than valencia but there's no fire sale going on from them. it isn't a level playing field in europe.

Couldnt agree more, though Liverpool and Man U are repaying someone elses debt which it could be said evens out the playing field a little.

Nothing can be done about it, as the fans arent going to get together to but a percentage of any club, if this were to happen then surely Southampton fans or supporters of any other club who go broke would have done it when they could have bought at the rock bottom price.

  12. What do others do when they get this treatment?

You shouldn't put up with this. I suggest you dump her immediately and see how long it takes for her to come to her senses, if she doesn't then you have lost nothing.

This might come across as being a little harsh but I don't believe we should put up with any irrational behaviour from women.

    :)

Where is the ThaiVisa forum post of the YEAR award for this one ???

  13. Word

Word all you like but the bit about many years of going to games and not seeing violence shows it doesnt happen too often.

Anyway good luck to the Septics in the Confederation Cup i hope you win .... you better at soccer then wars?

  14. Sounds wonderful but its not Newcastle or England or has any impotance to my team hence why ive never bothered, surely there must be many who when the Spanish football comes on switches over to watch some hot little actress on Channel 7! :) ... but are now tempted to watch

  15. To be honest I don't know the type. You are using a typical assumption that Football and hooligans are intertwined, they are not. The majority of football fans in the UK have no time for the <deleted>.

I've got to disagree with that, ive never been involved in football violence or ever seen anything thats been worth calling football violence in 27 years of going to football (<deleted> i'm old!), but the majority of Old Skool football fans think let them get on with it and can understand why people do it, most hooligans are without doubt proper football fans, ...... but the Mickey Mouse hooligans that go to games for a few years, that latch onto England or some team to think theyre a bit of a villian for a few years .. arent, and should be shot!

  16. Anyone going to be watching Spanish Football this year for the first time as in a full game on TV ??

Never watched it before in my life, but got to be said i am intrigued to be watching what Real Madrid are putting together and the current Barcelona team thats only going to get better ... both are full of youngens in their prime or before .. some of those galacticos weren't IMO.

Could it be the start of the demise of the Premier League ??? ... i think they (ManU/ Liverpool and The Premier League owners) must have something up their sleeves to pull themselves ahead!

  17. If this thread is for real, then how can a bank thats been bailed out still be allowed to splurge on sponsorship ?

Because they paid all the money up front for the sponsorship deal 4 years ago so Souness could blow it on Owen, Boumsong and Albert Luque, i think it ends in 1 year.

  18. Manchester City. I hear that they're short of a few strikers. :)

Shows how much his stokk has fallen when they pay 18 mill for a average forward when he's available for free.

He was dreadful for Newcastle last season, granted the creativity of Butt and Nolan never supplied him with chances but the few he did get were missed, unless someone does all the donkey work creating a chance for him he's not going to score as he has no pace now and no skills to beat a man, both of which where what made him a cut above in his teenage years.
