  1. but that sharp drop in remittances (i haven't seen any actual numbers or facts) is probably not because of us foreigners who, due to the "adjusted tax law," are supposedly sending less money to thailand ... i rather suspect, if the claim is even true, that it's thais (companies, etc.) who have stopped transferring money into thailand ... or maybe this whole new thing is just a temporary (2-year) distraction to give certain influential thais more time to continue their illegal activities ... in all this chaos and with the changing tax laws, everyone is losing track... and nobody knows what rules will even apply in the coming years... what a hopeless banana republic!
  2. prove it ... with some pic's ... you and your gf together ...
  3. my advice: don’t close any existing bank account. you never know, you might need it in the future ... just keep a few thousand baht in it ...
  4. ... what about people at the back of a (speeding) pickup? ...
  5. a lot of hot air from this youtuber, as always. his so-called personal experience with byd during a paid promotional trip to china is not a big thing. who does he think he is? claiming that the same thing happened to 50 of his fellow journalists is just not believable for me ... byd has grown extremely fast in recent years. with such rapid growth, it's unavoidable that quality and sustainability might suffer. it's also hard to find experienced and well-trained staff in such a short time .. some centers closing can have many different reasons, some of which may not be related to byd as a brand at all. this may will happen in thailand as well. i don’t know the internal structure of byd, but i believe many of these centers operate like franchisees. that customers now have problems with contracts from these centers, and that byd hasn’t offered any clear solution, that can be true but it could be also just another classic "youtuber " story ... my personal experience with byd: at my local byd service center, i’m treated kindly and professionally. so far, so good. however, the car’s software still needs some basic settings adjusted. it's frustrating that these issues weren’t fixed from the beginning and that there’s no quick update to solve them. i don't understand why they don't fix it right away, that's really disappointing ... it also looks like byd wants to be part of the charging infrastructure market in thailand. i’ve used the "rever" charging network in different provinces, and my experiences range from good to unfriendly to completely unacceptable. for now, i’ve decided not to use rever chargers anymore ....
  6. it looks really nice and tidy, well done! we've already driven 6,840 km and are having a lot of fun with our sealion 7 awd ... we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable journey...
  7. here you can find the pollution levels, statistics, and historical data on air pollution in thialand ... https://aqicn.org/country/thailand/
  8. we dirty foreigners believe every single word you say ... let's see what happens later on ... we all are sure, you have a plan ...
  9. you're right about your points, but it doesn't change the fact that chiang mai has only about 5 to 6 months of good air ...
  10. you are guessing wrong: https://wepoweryourcar.com/what-is-a-granny-charger-granny-electric-car-charging-explained/ just to be clear, i never said you can't use your granny charger as your main charger at home! i only suggested it might be a good idea to check the existing electrical setup in the rental house ...
  11. ... as mentioned before, i’m not an expert, but have a look below ... as we like to say, up to you ...
  12. would you run a 3kw hairdryer or a 2.5kw kettle for 12 hours straight? i woudn't ... a granny charger is actually meant for emergencies, so it seems to be designed mainly for that purpose ... in thailand, it’s always better to be safe than sorry ... especially when it comes to electricity ... anyway, you're the expert (i'm not, but i do see it differently), and according to you, the landlord is responsible if something goes wrong ...
  13. ... sometimes you're really funny, and sometimes i'm not sure if you're being serious or not ... you should know how things work in thailand when it comes to taking responsibility ... in most cases it isn't the thai-landlord who takes the responsibility ....
  14. other members drive an mg, i am sure they will share their experiences with you, including how the service is. i think the mg 4 x-power is a good choice and a real bargain for the price. charging at home: how long do you plan to stay in the rented house? how much do you pay per kwh? if the electricity meter really needs to be replaced, it might also be necessary to replace the main power lines to the house ... the granny charger with 3.5 kw might actually only charge at around 2.5 kw (?). if you plan to use this granny charger as your main charging option (which means long charging times), it's a good idea to have the plug, wiring, fuses, etc. checked by a professional ... you can charge your mg at all public charging stations. there are some electric car owners who can't charge at home, so they regularly use dc fast chargers instead. there are many different providers, be aware the prices can vary ... i also drive electric (and loving it), and at the moment, i charge my car only once a week ...
  15. did the doctors in question have received an award in one way or another? unfortunately, i doubt that the full truth will come to light, because pressure is likely being put on various people, or certain brown envelopes are being promised ... thailand is rotten to the core! in every aspect, especially when it comes to covering things up, influence, and money ...
  16. a ban for what? is there more to this story?
  17. before she made that statement, i saw her as nothing more than a foolish puppet. what a hypocritical and worthless person ... she only demands equal treatment when it benefits her ... btw. maybe she should ask the farmers who took their own lives because of her corrupt policies ..
  18. ... 306 millionen us dollar ... i don't think that is "pocket change" even for khun toni ... khun toni will not be a happy brother about this development ....
  19. what you wrote has some truth in it... but if everyone thinks the same way, no one would buy new technology, because the technology will always getting better ... i waited about 3 years before buying a bev, and i'm really happy with what i have now. it fits my needs! i don't need an extra 200 km of range, 5 minute faster charging, self-parking, or all those fancy features. even after 4 months, i still don’t use many of the car’s functions ... buying a bev now was the right choice for me, and i'm very pleased with it ...
  20. as she works in massage shop, she is for sure not as innocent as you think she is ... i think she got you ...
  21. why did you stop remitting money ... it seems to my you belong to the only people that worried were the foolish and the obsessive (your own words) ...
