  1. i completely agree with you. you never even bothered to look for them, but then you claim and argue that there is only one charging station. that says a lot about your point of view on electric vehicles ... i did some research: doi saket to mae kachan is about 30 km, and according to google, there are no petrol stations along the way. if your petrol car has only 50 km of range left on a hilly road, only a fool wouldn't fill up before the drive. it's the same with an electric car .... charge it before you go, as simple as that ... people who are against electric vehicles desperately try to create reasons to support their viewpoint, often using completely baseless claims. what these people don’t understand ... and absolutely refuse to accept ... is that using an electric car is for some parts different from a traditional gas-powered vehicle. if you want to keep up with the times, you have to be able to adapt and stay open to new things ... sometimes i wonder how these people managed past transitions, like going from postal service to fax machines to email, or from landlines to mobile phones and then to smartphones, or even from handwriting to typewriters to computers ...
  2. ... again, please stop post completely wrong facts .... between chiang mai and chiang rai are probably more than a dozen charging stations ... you really don't have a clue ...
  3. the average bev owner charges with only a very few exceptions at home ... a comparison with petrol stations does not make any sense .... I think no-one will argue with you about that ...
  4. nice of the ev driver to admit he was hunched over his screen (many ice cars do have also a screen) ... or did you see him doing that while you were behind the scooter rider ... anyway, accidents can happen , and it's a good thing no one was injured ... by the way, what does your post have to do with "finally! my new ev" ?
  5. it seems the government give up the idea using drones spraying water or installing large outside air purifier ... even being here over 20 years, the thai government still surprises me with some very stupid solutions without solving the real problems ...
  6. i had the same problem a few years ago in a rental house. this is how i solved it: near the spot where the gecko was hiding in the ceiling, there was a terrace with a built-in lamp. i removed the lamp and closed the opening at first. when it got dark, i opened it again and set up a bright light outside. the light attracted insects, and the gecko hunts insects. around midnight, i closed the opening again. i repeated this process for several days until the gecko stopped returning to the ceiling. maybe this method is worth a try for you too. good luck!
  7. i haven't heard many bad stories from people from india, so maybe indian?
  8. ... that comes from MalcolmB, who admits he regularly drives under the influence and even defends his reckless and selfish behavior ...
  9. may i ask when you ordered the sealion 7 and when you expect to receive the car? thanks motdaeng
  10. some of us, apparently not you, were officially informed about the changes in tax laws through personal emails from our embassy in bangkok. interestingly, just last week, i received a letter from my bank in my home country listing my assets, which, according to the OECD agreement, can be shared for tax-related purposes. things are moving on all levels ...
  11. isn't it funny how everyone here knows how inconsistent and unreliable government officials can be with their answers... yet, if a low-level employee at the TRD says, "no need to file a tax return," that answer is immediately taken as fact ...
  12. here we go: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BWc1Yu425/ it looks like the driver did a kind of "malfunction" with the auto hold ... and a safety function did stop the car ... but I am not sure either .... have a look at the comments ...
  13. then you're busted ...
  14. different readings on your own pm2.5 meter compared to the various measuring stations available online depend on several factors. for example, whether waste is being burned nearby, farmers are burning fields, or even the wind direction, etc. my simple tip: invest in your own pm2.5 meter and keep it running 24/7. what matters most is the reading inside your house, not the one from a measuring station 30 km away ... edit: don't get confused between the AQI numbers and the pm2.5 µg/m³ values ...
  15. air purifiers usually indicate the recommended room size in square meters. from my experience, the air circulation capacity (m³) should be at least three times the room's volume. factors like the room's air tightness and the severity of maximum air pollution can influence this value. when buying an air purifier, also consider the availability of replacement filters. even simple and inexpensive air purifiers can do their job well, but they are often quite noisy. do not forget to buy also a pm2.5 meter ....
  16. you quoted my post. i didn't write anything about immigration or scaremongering, etc. when clarifying something with authorities, for example regarding tax questions, it would be nice to receive written confirmation of the information provided. i described a way to obtain this in my post ... thank you.
  17. to get confirmation from the tax office (that no tax has to be paid), there is a solution: request a refund of the withheld tax from your bank account, even if it’s just a small amount. go to your local TRD, the staff will do the tax return with you together, asking you about work, other income, money transfers etc. this way, you’ll have something in writing in your hands ...
  18. i recommend everyone buy a simple pm2.5 meter. good air quality should be below 10 µg/m³ for pm2.5! i did some tests a few years ago, got rid of the air conditioner filters, and now use only air purifiers, which keep the pm2.5 levels inside my house consistently low. convincing yourself, putting the air con a 3m filter alone is enough to tackle high air pollution might be a solution, but it’s not an effective one.
  19. believing something "works well" doesn’t make it a fact. spend a little money on a pm2.5 meter, and you’ll see it for yourself ... it doesn’t work as you might think! reducing pollution from a very unhealthy level to just an unhealthy level isn’t something to be satisfied with. an air conditioner with a 3m filter only reduces pollution slightly and inefficiently ... and even that only works if you change the filter regularly!
  20. when pm2.5 levels are high, only an air purifier can bring them down to under 10 micrograms per cubic meter. get a pm2.5 meter and see for yourself. by the way, using a 3m filter may slightly reduce pollution, but it will make your air conditioner work harder ...
  21. it's interesting to observe how the many tax topics in this forum have developed dynamically. now, many posts question whether tax regulations will be enforced or not and base their decision on that only to file a tax return or not! it wouldn't surprise me if the same people do complain about the extreme air pollution and blame it on the lack of enforcement. i remember over 10 years ago, overstaying wasn’t a big issue, but things have changed. the same could easily happen with tax obligations, where enforcement could become stricter in the future, leaving little room to avoid following the regulations and filing tax returns. no one enjoys paying taxes, which is understandable. ultimately, everyone must decide for themselves what is right ...
  22. unfortunately in most cases the only solution is to move to an other place and hope the new place will be better ... good luck ...
  23. what are the benefits, in your view, of using a better route planner (ABRP) compared to google maps? thanks motdaeng
  24. are this two superintendent in charge for any changes for thailand's immigration regulations? if yes, please ask them to clarify the 24 h report ... just keep in mind, this is thailand, the country of flip flops ... next week every thing could look different already ...
