it seems that those who would benefit the most are wealthy individuals in thailand who already have many cars and substantial wealth. it appears to me, that individuals with influential connections asked the government for favorable treatment ... has thailand not more important problem to solve?

just don't let every criminal into thailand ... a win win for the thai people and also for the "normal" foreign living in thailand ... and ask yourself, why is thailand a favourite destination for criminals and scumbags ...

a few things, one of them is ... i (no working) didn't have to pay any taxes the last 20 years in thailand ... next year it may will look a little bit different ...

it sounds like my mother, we took 5 years care of her, she lived with us in our home. but i and my family couldn't anymore, now she lives in an "alzheimer home"! we do visit her regularly. our relationship to my mother is now better than before ... even her dementia has worsen ... it was after 5 years the right decision, our health has started to suffer ...

why do you think the swiss pension is barred from taxation in thailand? as far as I know, that is incorrect! there are a lot of incorrect information and rumours about the new tax law ... luckily i do get my pension in few years time, therefore i don't have to worry too much yet ...

just as an example (for switzerland), khun nathanan mentions that swiss pensioners need not worry about taxes due to a double tax agreement. however, individuals residing outside switzerland don't pay any taxes in switzerland, and the pension received abroad is not taxed by the swiss government! i think khun nathanan is wrong in his conclusion! i believe the swiss people have to fill a tax return and pay tax for their pension in thailand ... the entire situation could become a chaotic mess, with endless bureaucracy, and each tax office establishes its own regulations ...

the NMC batteries are one reason, why i am no longer interested in the volvo ex30 or hyundai ioniq 6. but i would be also concerned about the (not existing) dealership's network. if you live near bangkok, i think it would be fine. additionally, i doubt that all the new ev car companies will survive in the next few years. we will certainly see a significant market consolidation, with more than just a few bankruptcies!

i have a different view on this: if your air con filter reduces the pm2.5 level from eg. 50 µg/m3 to 40 µg/m3, the air is still unhealthy! my suggestion, use an air purifier to get to a pm2.5 level at least under 10 µg/m3. using the air con to clean a polluted air a little bit will not help your health / will not make a different!
