  1. i would say the opposite is true. some countries are adopting ev's faster than others, but ev's will definitely be part of future mobility ... as many ev owners have already said on this forum : "ev's aren't for everyone ..."
  2. you need to check your usage from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. only in this timeframe can you save some money by installing solar without a battery.
  3. ... you think tooo muuuch .... please keep us updated what car you finally bought, thank you.
  4. how about educate yourself first with data and facts instead of relying on outdated stereotypes?
  5. i'm not sure this link is accurate and / or up to date ... https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1REMriQY0BxNPmksruPXyT867ewA&ll=19.901368506109566%2C99.90353913121696&z=13
  6. most people (from about 40+ million ev owners ww)... really? it would be great if you can provide some evidence for your clam! (you are probably right, most people you meet at your bar will confirm your ridiculous statement)
  7. that was and still is true for all ICE cars as well ... nothing new! btw, affordable chinese ev cars are much better than their reputation suggests, and their prices are coming down too ...
  8. you can use that statement for nearly every other country: thailand, usa, japan, germany, russia, etc.
  9. it seems we're not discussing the same thing: i was talking about transfering money into thailand and using this money in thailand without paying any taxes. by the way, if i had a high income and / or were wealthy, i would go for the LTR visa, which currently allows transfering money into thailand without being taxed.
  10. this minor change in the tax law aims to close a loophole that some wealthy thai individuals and businesses have been exploiting to their advantage. as a side effect, foreign tax residents in thailand will also be required to pay taxes.
  11. instead of using 2" pvc pipes ( with 3 x 45 degree elbow), i would like to check the option of using 2" pe pipes (about 5m long). i am looking for airtight connections from pvc to the hdpe pipe. does anyone have knowledge or experience with this? what product should i use? thanks for any advice, motdaeng
  12. there have been many meetings and discussions between different embassies and the TRD. and that for a reason ... (the smal tax law change have been done also for a reason!) the TRD already has the foreigner on their "fishing hook". do you think they will just let the money go away, and tell everyone it was a misunderstanding? i don't think so, but it may be chaotic and will take time to implement everything ...
  13. that would be fun ... but of course, not for everyone ... if i am not mistaken, some visa adjustments are announced for the end of this year ...
  14. i agree with you, but even the unlikely has some likelihood too. after 20 years in the land of smiles, i know everything is possible. the thai government hasn't cared in the past and will not care in the future about long-time "visitors" living in thailand. they will create and enforce new laws as they please. i believe, for us "farangs", it will not become easier to live here in the long term ...
  15. i wonder how you know all that. is it just a gut feeling or a guess? how can you be so sure? do you have any inside knowledge? any reliable / official source would be great, thank you.
  16. remitted income to thailand will be taxed from 2024 onwards ... not the worldwide income ....
  17. investing 380k which gives 96k return per year results in 25% interest. but you already knew that, yes?
  18. if you are not a tax resident in thailand for that year (spending fewer than 180 days in th), you can transfer in that year as much money to thailand as you wish ...
  19. i fully understand your point and do as well agree with you on this. however, i don't agree if people do deny or play down the real extent (and resulting health issues) of the air pollution ...
  20. unfortunately, this is incorrect. good air is a pm 2.5 less than 12 µg/m3 (green color). chiang mai and the whole north experience around 4 months of "good air", while the rest of the year ranges from moderate to hazardous. the pm 2.5 of 35 µg/m3 (orange color) for a 24 hour period is considered as unhealthy ...
  21. why does your post not surprise me? you regularly drink and drive, think that's okay, and don't care about the people who get injured / killed because of DUI ... there's really something wrong with some people, and you are definitely one of them!
  22. it will be like the byd seal lion 07. have a look at 3:30.
  23. it's probably too late, but I would wait a few months for the new seal 07. it seems to have a few improvements ... https://carnewschina.com/2024/07/15/byd-seal-07-with-e-platform-3-0-evo-to-unveil-in-early-august/
  24. absolutely not true. i know two couples from europe who canceled this year their march trip to the north because of news in the media about air pollution. tourists visiting the north during the burning season will definitely not tell everyone at hoome how great the air and the view from the mountain was ...
  25. i wrote most thai ... and not all thai ... funny, changing my worlds and blame me ... never mind!
