Not cheap though.
If you want cheap you get cheap.
We're looking for quality.

The school specifies Apple, really? Let me guess: Prem? Or Panyaden?
Anyway if it can be 4 years old then likely it doesn't need to be the Air model, but could be any Apple Macbook?
How does Panyaden come into this?
My kids go there and there are no requirements to have their own PC / tablets.
It's only a primary school, computing is not high on their agenda.

Panyaden is in English. Buddhist (the options you've looked at are all varying degrees of Christian - is this important/an issue?). Reasonable fees, continues up to age 12.
Is 118K per year reasonable? Not trying to argue with you, don't get me wrong. Seems a bit pricey for Nursery School and Kindergarten - to me at least. I wouldn't want Buddhism forced upon my child either. The campus looks very nice from the photos.

Nothing at all is forced on the kids at this school. It is in no way a religious school. If you knew anything about the Buddhas teachings you would know this.
The school focuses on the heart not just the head.

So far Homikitch 10/10. Exceptional service, and design staff second to none. Leave the others for dead.

Krungthep (Bangkok) furniture, quality wardrobes. Fair prices. Have a few locations around CM.

Sunday it's 690 baht or 550 with a member card (free at front desk). Kids under 10 eat free. Great selection of desserts, one or two carvery items, the Thai beef is at your own risk, or bring a sharp serrated knife. Nice oysters, river prawns, mussels, Moreton Bay bugs, pipi's (tiny mussels). Good selection of cheeses and breads, crackers, juices, pasta's, pizza, dim sum, etc, etc.
I am a big flan of Prawns. River Prawns I find tasteless. Therefore not that big of a draw for me. The one time I was there about 6 months ago I was disappointed.
There were 14 of us last Sunday, all impressed. So i guess it's about personal tastes.

This mob have pick up's. Not sure on price though.

Buds do great kids birthday cakes, slightly cheaper than Swensens and yummier. Two locations, one in town (google it) and one at Rim Ping Meechok.
And Dairy queen do good ice cream cakes for kids too, half the price of Swensens, Disney cakes, etc. You can go and order one from their list if it's not already in the fridge.
DQ are in almost all shopping malls here.

Hi,
we are a new agency in Chiang Mai, we collect all house, mooban etc in the next weeks. If you like, PM me your mail and I let you know as soon I find something. The service is free for buyers and renters! http://www.buyrentchiangmai.com
I would have thought so. You don't expect people who are buying a property to pay you?Free for buyers and rentersWebsite very sweet but why do I have to look at all your properties when I just want to see rentals maybe house maybe condo. Vice versa if I want to buy why do I have have to see rentals? Not too much of prob at the moment but if you start listing your site's going to be pain the ars! to navigate.
Just some helpful advice.....
There are only 28 listings anyway, so it shouldn't take you long to browse through them.

Bought Boliden SMF battery on the road to the railway station a year ago, Charoen Muang.
Coming into town, pass the Superhighway there are some battery shops on your left, first or second, not sure.
For a pickup truck.
I bought a GS battery there before, 1 year guarantee. Dead after 1 year 2 weeks.
My "Toyota" branded battery from a Toyota dealership has just died after only 18 months. over 4 grand wasted.
Need a new one ASAP, a bit lost after the last episode.

Satawat Clinic on Sirimangkalan Rd has been doing these medicals for 30 baht for at least the last 10 years, never had a price hike.
-
Jacky Bike ,Sirimangkalan soi 13 sells top notch road and mountain bikes. Good service too.

No replies, surprising.
Anyway Phil how did you go? And who ended up with the job?
We are at the same point you were at when you posted.

Been Banking with Bangkok Bank for 14 years. Never had a work permit. Never had a problem with them either, pretty good service for a bank.

By far the cleanest and quietest pool would be the one at centre of the universe, quite expensive unless you buy bulk slots though.
To find the Centre of the Universe is like finding the next galaxy. Very clinical place.
Not at all in fact we found it straight away. If your'e not a complete nonce with a map that is. It's well sign posted. With google earth / maps , GPS it's hard to get lost these days.

I just can't get my head around public swimming pools...just a personal taste (ick) thing...
As opposed to swimming in the ocean or rivers where billions of fish piss and <deleted>.
Still cheaper to use a public pool that build one.

I seen some kitchen fire extinguishers at home pro not so long ago. fairly compact size, around 1,500 baht, but cant remember exactly.

Day to day life here is one big comedy. I've never heard of stand up comedians playing here. But i don't get out much.

For one I welcome some new mall options here. KSK is a dump and Airport Plaza is over run and lacks car parks. The times they are a changing.
-
The Pub and O'Malleys both a good place for a Guinness.

Otherwise a cheaper option would be the pool at Chiang Mai Land, very busy, kids jumping around all over the place, but cheap.

My pen lie. Chill. I was asking not accusing. As I am not now in Thailand I guess I am legal.
It's mai pen rai, with a "R".
I was reffering to you when you will be working here. You will have a work permit right?
Not including news reporters, how many Thais do you actually hear pronouncing the ร? Do you correct the Thais you encounter who make this heinous mispronunciation? Didn't think so.
And what is it with the people on this board who are obsessed with whether other people have a work permit or not? What business is it of yours? And exactly what difference does it make to you either way? Get a f@cking life!
Easy on the red bull. lol
