  1. More like posters here breathing in Helium. ????
  2. Don't worry about it just sort it out what ever when you get back into Thailand. My DLT didn't make a problem over my bike which was off road untaxed for nearly 7 years. Welcome back.
  3. I don't think OP will find your happy post the fact, the covid period should give him leeway when he goes to his province DLT. The worse that can happen is that he may have to re-register the vehicle it will depend on the DLT. If so it's not a big deal.
  4. They do issue stickers they are yellow and can be used to stick the road disc on the bike with the clear peel off sticky part. I roll my one up and put it in this.
  5. It has nothing to do with insurance the registration of the motorbike bike produces a green book for motorbikes which then makes the owner label to pay a road tax which receited by giving the person with the bike a ROAD DISC to display on the bike annually. If the bike is not updated with this road tax disc for 7 years i believe the time limit is the bike will be unregistered.
  6. I have no idea why some Honda bike shops are so unhelpful. You best ask local people where they go. Years ago i was fortunate enough to find a rare Thai person who was a trained mechanic also had raced Honda bikes and repaired all types of bikes as well as honda. Any bike shop around where we live will change tyres on any fonza is a much the same as any scoot.
  7. I wouldn't renew my passport until 9 months of it running out or before just because of some border force persons comments. The govt sets it a 10 years so 10 years it is IMO.
  8. I insure with Roojai. Dealerships are not important IMHO. Don't know of dealerships that don't use independent Thai bodywork workshops for repairs. There are Thai garages also that can carry out servicing and engine repairs on all cars.
  9. 2014 is not old so no problem with insurance.
  10. Bought from Lazada Canel no. 5 apparently it was OK don't wear it me self.
  11. I don't they are different places go and see for yourself.
  12. Well ask your friend to send you a copy of the green book, i don't understand why he would not do that. If he refuses his green book will be useless if he doesn't let you keep the bike up to date the DLT will remove it from registration.
  13. medium gas bottle 400 baht last us over 2 months, where's the inflation rate. !!
  14. Barclay's didn't help me at all when going Thailand so I dumped them, Nationwide were ok but they got a bit funny about sending me a credit card to Thailand. I made the decision one UK bank will do and I have had no bother with FD or problem with credit cards. As long as WIDE stays around my MasterCard debitcard is redundant. ????
  15. Joined First Direct when they first started and since 2005 when i came to live in Thailand they have been good for me, there was no problem telling them my address now is in Thailand. The only problem i have is the new debit card which they have changed from Visa to MasterCard won't work on WISE, the Visa credit card works but cost more to use. So i have set up a account with WISE to pay from my 1st account, so all good.
  16. Shifting gears on an auto isn't a problem. Get it looked at don't sound too serious if it when wrong quick.
  17. They can start at 3•30am would that suit better. ????
  18. Unfortunately I'm not good with phone app stuff, i keep messing up on the mobile keyboard. I only look site with computer and don't really ring them up at all, mostly just talk to the robot. ????
  19. Always keep or get a copy of the green book then the bike can be kept up to date.
  20. If they accept you they will send you a secure key thing like a small caculater for use with the computer or mobile phone connection when going on-Iine They are available on a phone number they give to people abroad.
  21. I have posted already First Direct a member of the HSBC group.
  22. The UK phone number is not important people have mobiles my UK bank has my mobile number it is a UK address that's what's important.
  23. OK try my bank it's an online bank First Direct . Go online first and then you will have to probably telephone them as well maybe for them to arrange an account.
  24. maybe he could start by saying "Can I deposit a million baht here in this Bank".
