You miss the point his DL in Oz included car, motorcyle etc but he didn"t have a IDP its something to do with you need a DL for the Oz state you live in. If you go to live in another Oz state you need to get a new DL issued by that state.

UK travel advice ???? if you are in Thailand that is BS. A UK full photocard type driving licence has all details of what you can drive in English. It does not need an IDP to get a Thai DL from a DLT office. With a full UK DL you can drive up to 90 days in Thailand. OP has a Oz DL not same as UK DL.

Fair call and a personal choice. I rode up to CM to CR followed the big river passing Nong Khai and followed the border road with Laos and Cambodia to part way to down South Thailand cut across back to Sukhothai on a CRF250 we were gone for just over 2 weeks.

Maybe it will be ok but you should still get an IDP, my Oz mate could not get a Thai DL for a motorcycle in Sukhothai DLT with his OZ DL because it didn't state Motorcycle on his OZ DL and he didn't have an IDP so he had to pass his test.

Rental insurered cars come with 1st class cover and if the DL is accepted then your OK.

Lots people don't know what's needed it sometimes depends on the DLT office. Oz DL I believe needs an IDP if it does not have details of what you drive English. For example a UK DL does not need an IDP in Thailand the reason many get one is just to make easier with ignorant police. After 90 days the concessus is get a Thai DL.

If you have an IDP with your Oz DL then your OK.

Don't like doing wheelies actually and don't see the point of a video, most bikes will wheelie if you make them but not all on just accelerating. Accident for many reasons sadly happens a lot of the time here.

Bought a cylinder of gas recommended for my gas Glock revolver and it's got no dispenser for filling the gun clip. Can't find anything to pucture the sealed gas can with an adapter to use for filling the clip. Ideas anyone.?

I agree it was the same in UK you had fun on some quiet roads they didn't provide for kids to have fun on bikes without a great deal of cost.
