  1. I don't know if you can use 'Wise' for applying for a marriage extension. What I have always done is had a Bangkok bank account in my name only and the 400,000 has to be shown to have been in there for no less than 2 months before applying to immigration for a further 1 year extension. I have to have a letter from the Bank confirming the amount dated at least the day before we go. Also I have to have the bank book updated on the day we apply at immigration.
  2. As usual no one reads the thread only one post. ????
  3. Not sure what your on about. If you are a Westerner married legally and have a Thai wife you can apply at the immigration office at your place of stay for a 1 year extension to stay based on marriage. At the time of applying for the 1 year extension based on marriage the amount of money 400,000 needs to be in a Thai bank account in the husbands name only for a minimum period of 2 months. Alternatively your can show you have 40,000 a month or more each month for 12 months of the previous year up to applying for the 1 year extension based on marriage being paid into the husbands own Thai bank account.

Things are changing apparently because another friend has paid for 2 weeks but he can leave Phuket now in one week but will not get a refund. hope that info helps.

  10. Yes I will thanks again for your help I will give it try. A funny thing happened last evening I looked at my emails went on my UK on-line bank and when I log off from my bank I always to a history clear and check with the google check thingy. I click on AN in the bookmark bar and AN came straight on, I don't ever bother logging out. Went to Netflix then later looked at AN again but the warning came up this time. I will try when I get home this evening. Regards K.
  11. 1. no need. 2. Builder insurance in Thailand is about as useless as a fart in a spacesuit. 3. That is usually an additional extra cost. I installed rockwool rolls that was covered with silver wrapping in the upstairs ceilings made a big difference, nothing living there as yet in 12 years. 4. We have quality hardwood window frames but choice was not an option at the time, I personally would go aluminium window frames as to your choice. 5. Floor tiles well go for whatever you like but non slip in bathrooms. Upstairs we put hardwood plank flooring. 6. Nothing to add except make sure Electrics and water installation is of a high quality.
  12. Try some canned soya beans in tomato sauce from China there nice on toast. ????

  16. Yeah there has been a mix up in Sukhothai over that I believe my wife will just settle for the hospitals official certificate that was given to me. It will be better for her I think anyhow because she can frame it and put it on display at her café.
