  1. The usual charge for a notary is 2000 baht but police and doctors are usually cheaper. I have signed proof of life forms for UK pensions but DWP have eased up on people in Thailand they realize it can be difficult to get Thai people to sign, especially if you live out in the sticks. Who can certify a document Your document must be certified by a professional person or someone well-respected in your community (‘of good standing’). You could ask the following if they offer this service: bank or building society official councillor minister of religion dentist chartered accountant solicitor or notary teacher or lecturer The person you ask should not be: related to you living at the same address in a relationship with you.
  2. Police OK ask them and see what they want to charge, don't mention lawyers.
  3. None, it was only a dig at the US keep ya socks on.

  7. Thai goldsmiths add silver and bronze and copper is used as well to get colour of golds, there are many variations of gold but most Thais like the bright 23ct one. My wife like what she calls old gold because it is of darker colour that is a copper mix. Our wedding rings are Thai 18ct.
  8. Thai Jewelry classed gold can be different for reasons of wear. "Thai gold is generally 23 karat and is stamped with a “965”. This gold is 96.5% pure gold; the other 3.5% of metals are silver and bronze. Some Thai dealers will also sell 22 karat gold, 20 karat gold and 18 karat gold – though 23 karat is by far the most popular with Thai consumers."

  17. I would say what ever cash OP has it's a private buyers market at the moment as I see it, he could pick up good low mileage Accord or Camry, personally age wouldn't bother me with motors like that.
  18. Yaris was mentioned but OP has a Susuki swift having seen one of them and driven a Mazda 3, I would of thought no biggie so that's why I suggested Accord or Camry.
