Make no mistake about it. Ubon is well known for it's red shirt activity. Yes, there was a very popular Democrat MP from Ubon before the dems recently withdrew. The reds pretty much have total control here.

Why am I not surprised. Seems like the HRC may be a little to close to something.

If you chose not to take part in serious debate....
Serious Debate? A debate takes two to communicate. I'm not sure if you understand what communication is? Maybe YOU should look elsewhere as you infer, you are much smarter than the average TV poster.

And how is Suthep's 2010 murder charges coming along? Oh, I forgot he's busy running an insurrection, something that Yingluck cannot claim.
The courts are probably waiting to combine PM Yingluck's murder charges with Suthep's charges.

"Yingluck is the real disseminator of hate speech, as she made the protesters out as the villains for causing the national crisis and rice farmers’ problems while branding the government as good," Time Chuastapanasiri told Isara News Agency online.Time Chuastapanasiri told Isara News Agency online.... well glory be... his diatribe is totally spurious, specious and LMAO exactly what he accuses her of.
."Her speech distorted the facts, told lies and slandered others by changing the responsibility for the mistakes on others. She also made herself a target by implying that the protesters are the enemy of farmers, the country and democracy and the elected government," he said.
"Her speech reflected discrimination by conveying the message that those who did not support farmers (in their attempts to get payment from the scheme) are not sympathetic towards the farmers and did not support the government who was helping them."
She also took the protesters hostage by saying that she could not settle the problems because they (the protesters) were blocking her good intention to help the farmers and that the protesters systematically organised the rally to topple the government....
1) disseminator of hate speech Really...? I thought that was the nightly duty of Kuhn Suthep from every stage he stood on...
2) distorted the facts, told lies and slandered others...hmmm.....(see number 1)...
3) "Her speech reflected discrimination... hmmm let's see. .. the rural poor have no idea what is good for them or the country... they should not have the vote..because they are "uneducated"....(see number 1)
Lotta "buzz words in a very short outburst..he really gets an A for loading it up
"She also took the protesters hostage by saying that she could not settle the problems because they (the protesters) were blocking her good intention to help the farmers and that the protesters systematically organised the rally to topple the government."
Lets see.. so the PDRC and associates are not blocking roads, government offices..thru traffic etc etc etc,,, not making threats to kidnap...hound...run out.. and not that the protesters systematically organised the rally to topple the government.???"
gotta love the "buzz words" stokes the hot button... keeps the drive alive...
Of Course the insurrection was not designed to topple the government, even if that has been the hue and cry from day one...
of course SHUT DOWN BANGKOK was not intended to make fellow Bankokians hostages... of the PDRCC and Associates...
Yehaw! Mr Chuastapanasiri ..Pundit Extraordinaire!
What's with all the cute colors? Accenting your views? Looks like a child's coloring book.

"They have gone against every opinion the EC ever had even when the EC were trying to be reasonable."
Thanks for that "even when the EC were trying to be reasonable."
The EC is not reasonable, hasn't ever tried to be reasonable with this government, nor is it trying to be reasonable. The EC wouldn't know how to try to be reasonable even if the future of democracy depended on them and it, which, fortunately, it does not.
The EC is a part of the institutional obstructionism and institutional resistance to, of all things, elections, democracy, having an election and conducting a safe election by democratic processes.
It's clear the resistance has basically moved out of the streets and into the institutions established in the 2007 constitution written by the military coup makers. The RS will not accept any kind of institutional coups.
Good on the government for directly and openly calling out the EC on this one.
Yet another one.
And your point seems to be: Any agency (Constitutional Court, Election Commission, anti-gov't protesters, etc.) who are against pheu thai are wrong and should not be listened to. Only if these groups agree with pheu thai, are they considered rational and important ideas. Such a double standard they live by!

“If (you) want a prime minister with full power, the only option is to tear up the Constitution. Whether tearing up the Constitution will be successful or not depends on the people. It’s up to the people if they want to preserve democracy but the election has shown that 20 million people exercising their voting rights to maintain democracy.”
Nope,... you gotta ask the army....
The Army is too busy "ruling" the southern 3 provinces and presiding over daily bombings and killings. Bet they are glad they don't have to rule the rest of the country in this manner.
the Army coming in now is most unlikely as Suthep is down to his last few hundred followers. They only get rally in evening as they take the rally to the office workers in Asoke and Silom.
Contrast the Reds Rally. They were here in bigger numbers and a long way from their villages and still had many times more people in Lumpin than Suthep has now.
It would be good now for the Government if they did have a coup. It would allow the people to see the corruption and bumbling of the the Junta that we saw last time. Then.... Sooner rather than later. A real uprising of real people marching for democracy.
Millions of people have died fighting for their rights all over the world. That this attack against democracy is allowed to stay out there for so long is damaging Thailand internationally.
So, I guess your vile solution is, "Just let the Thaksin regime do their gov't thing and everything will return to normal." If you think that Thaksin's gov't is real democracy, then I pity the poor people of Thailand, as they have the most to loose in this conflict. Thaksin alone is the problem with Thailand. Wheither it is Suthep or any other patriot trying to save Thailand, it is for the better.

At least, I haven't heard of any one of them trying to leave the country as the PTP glorious ex-leader did.
2 words... kangaroo court
Oh, the corrupt courts of Thailand. They seem to be OK when it suits Thaksin and his cronies.

I find his statements very self serving or "Suthep" serving, it is of the utmost importance that Yingluck remain PM until after the official announced vote is made public.
If she is not wanting to continue as head of state inform her party before the appointment of a vote for the new PM!
Democracy in Thailand needs her, to survive the onslaught of the rich elites plans to take over with a Undemocratic unelected government with the backing of the military.. The only way that can happen (without a coup) if she resigns, and causes a "power vacuum" that can be exploited by the fascist!
Hang tight, Yingluck you have much support in the country!
Peace
I agree with one point you made. Yingluck will never give up her power as she is her brother's only chance at keeping his country. Make no mistake about it. Thaksin will fight tooth and nail to continue his quest to rape Thailand for his own personal gain. He has invested too much to loose now. Thanks to Suthep, the people are slowly seeing Thaksin's evil schemes that are devastating the country. Suthep might have some skeletons in the closet, but Thaksin is way worse. I can't understand how people think that Thaksin is a good leader for Thailand. Time is on the side of the people. Hang in there Suthep!

The PhuaThai is NOT hoping for a coup, the shambles they are in is this 'judicial coup' garbage in which 308 MPs are sacked by the 'anti-graft' body NACC for 'voting' to add an amendment to the constitution that would make the upper house fully elected instead of appointed. The US has 27 amendments to the constitution, but in Thailand an amendment to the charter is called 'corruption'.
judicial coup is going to bring the same redshirt backlash as a normal coup, we can only hope that these 'courts' decide to ave some integrity and dismiss these bogus cases piling up against the phuathai.
This protest is not about stopping amendments that the people of Thailand do not like. It is about 1 corrupt man, that if elected (through his election terms) will become president for life. PDRC is attempting to stop it before it is too late. My heart is with the PDRC.

There is a picture on facebook of her handling a cobra in Hong Kong. I don't think it's appropriate to post her photos here.

Its not going to work, just like every other way Taksin and his party have tried to get their way. Government are accountable to the people and the people are not stupid.
Yep, sounds like Yingluck and company are making up the rules as they go.
-
but the government and the police had failed to bringing those responsible for the attacks to justice.
just as they had failed to arrest suthep
Imo, this is Thaksin's master plan. He needs the Army to come off the fence and declare a coup allowing him a second chance at getting his government back. I can't think of a better way to get the army involved than have mercenaries attacking citizen protesters.

wave 125i manual .... love mine goes anywhere ..
Agree 100%. Honda Clicks and Yamaha's with automatic transmissions do not do well on unpaved roads. The dust during the dry season and the mud during the rainy season will play havoc on the automatic transmissions. Never had any problems with my 125i on the unpaved roads.

Who's Suphet?
New to Thai politics ???????

He went on saying “what is clear is that until the Thai Army is brought under lawful, accountable, democratic and civilian control it will act as a force hindering Thailand’s struggling – yet burgeoning – democracy;
In other words, what Amsterdam is saying that until the country is accountable and under the control of Thaksin.

there is only one outcome to all of this and it may be this year or in 10 years and that is Civil war.
Too many forigners commenting have absolutly no idea what they are talking about and really it is idiotic to read.
I hate Thaksin for what he has done to immigration policys in Thailand ..this has damaged many familys for NO reason.
Thaksin is a meglomaniac plain and simple..what the hell does a man of almost 70 need more money or power for..answer he's sick
Clear all the Shinawatras out they are parasites living off the backs of decent Thais
Thai airways being privatized is his new little play thing..all to feed his buddys on Wall St as he did with Thai OIl
this post demonstrates the poorest understanding of Thailand and the issues facing it of all contributions, from red, yellow, neutral, clueless, over the past 3 months
Would you care to elaborate your understanding of who the Shinawatras really are? I guess you think Thaksin is actually good for the country.

Ms Sunisa Lertpakawat, the government’s deputy spokesperson.
Where is Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit now?
Not in prison serving the sentence he was given.
Probably in Hong Kong getting instructions on what to do next.
-
Try to do that in Belgium:
No way you would be able to get near to government buildings and shout al that venom.
When will someone jail thet Suthep????
Too scared of something?
Thailand on its way to chaos
Suthep said once the people announce the victory over the Thaksin regime, all her assets would be seized.
The protest leader also disclosed that on the shutdown day, all major government offices will come under siege by protesters so as to prevent all officials to work or serve the caretaker government.
All major roads leading to government offices will be blocked and all government vehicles will not be allowed to pass, except city buses which will continue servicing the people.
He said houses of Ms Yingluck will also be blocked by an army of female protesters, of Surapong Tovichakchaikul, and of Kittirat na Ranong.
For Mr Surapong, also the foreign minister, Mr Suthep said he would see ”Hell on earth does exist and will experience it.
They will face mass protests that they have never seen or expected in their lives, Suthep said.
The mass protests will also be held at the homes of the national police chief and his two deputies, he said.
So, do you know of anybody else that will stand up to the evils of Thaksin? I'm pretty sure that Suthep will drop from sight once Thaksin and gang are gone.

And you think this guy is OK? Hmmmm. Many of the TV trolls hate Suthep. If you are one of them, please feel free to offer alternative ideas on how to rid Thailand of the Shin wannabe dictatorship.
Let's see what the people of Bangkok think in the New Year. Suthep is completely off his trolley and needs a padded room!
And by the way, the PTP were elected by the people.
And you think that a bought election that put Pheu Thai in power and gave them carte blanc to do whatever they want and are above the law is democratic?
-
This is now escalating into what..... i fear the result of what this man now have sat in motion
Which man? Thaksin or Suthip?
-
Sounds like PM Yingluck has a mind of her own and will overrule the gov't Election Commission's decision.
Those Shinawatwa's are a feisty bunch!
-
Not only these two should receive the toughest sentence for shooting an unarmed red shirt, but Suthep, as well as the ones who support his insane movement full of hatred, should also be held responsible. This is one more proof that these protesters are nothing more than yellow thugs and criminals, rather than the "well behaved middle class and hard working students" that many on this forum prefer to refer too.
Somehow, I don't think you would support this view if the redshirts were the shooters. Just saying!!!!! May, 2010 seems to come to mind.

And you honestly think the gov't will listen to your suggestions. I can't think of a better place to vent your frustrations about the current situation ongoing in Thailand now.
