The police are in the ptp's pocket, what else can you expect. They let the red shorts run riot last time and here they are coming down on these protesters even when the pm said they werent to do so. It would seem that big brother is paying the right people to do his bidding again, this will just keep happening, its Thailand what can you expect
Amnesty will be re-introduced in 180 days. You can't believe one word Yingluck says. Thaksin will keep shoving this down the throats of the Thai people until it is passed and he can freely enter to take over the country.
The Dems and Anti-gov't protestors must be pro-active and wipe out this Thaksin cancer, once and for all. The jobs not done. Don't slack off now!

Tried it in the South, just a couple of plants in the garden.
Fungal infections got the best of them..
The only region that it might work is the drier parts of Isaan.
Grapes and rain/high humidity don't mix.
I wouldn't eat any thai grapes...Pesticide Central
Agree, Same problem here in Ubon area. I have seen several farmers attempt but all have failed.
Bugs eating the leaves seem to be the biggest problem.
Good luck with your venture.

The Perfect Storm is brewing. Protestors, Rice Scheme problems, Amnesty Bill a disaster. What more could PM Yingluck and company ask for? Maybe it's time for Moody's to drop Thailand's credit rating. Watch this Pheu Thai government sink.

This is shaping up into a triple win.... Thaksin has way overplayed his hand, and at this point in time
has seemingly lost. His taking off of the velvet glove and showing the iron fist by barking out orders to PTP
is just becoming ludicrous at this point, and a national embarrassment.
Win # 1. Thailand is free of Thaksin forever when his puppet government falls
Win # 2. With Yingluck removed from " power", she will now be free to shop full time without criticism.
Win # 3. WIth no hope of Thaksin returning back here, Chalerm will have to behead himself according to
his promise. This could be the biggest win of all for Thailand !!!!
The problem is: Thaksin says the word "lose" is not in his vocabulary. I believe he will do everything in his power to destroy Thailand if he can not have his way.

You mean a wanted criminal that fled the country when he realized he couldn't bribe his way out of a conviction, and didn't want to pay the penalty for the crime(s) he committed, now wants charges filed against other people, and probably expects that they should be found guilty and thrown into the same prison by the same justice system he himself refuses to comply with ?
It's almost scary to think that things could (easily) get much worse, in a very short amount of time.
They wouldn't be faced by the same justice system he faced, unless of course, the Military Junta from 2006 have expressed an interest in getting involved in libel cases..............
Brilliant comment !!!

Hope you friend successfully recovers. I feel bad for foreigners who have to experience these 2nd rate hospitals in Thailand. Hope he can be safely transferred to a decent Bangkok hospital and fully recover.
I feel bad for posters who take unnecessary cheap shots.
Had a very bad experience there. Patients beware. Enough said!

"Meanwhile, Deputy Commerce Minister, Nattawut Saikua, another core leader of the UDD, stated that the amnesty bill has already been turned down by the Senate; therefore, this should prove to the anti-amnesty bill protesters that their goal has been achieved - making it unnecessary to continue any further protests."
Why is anybody listening to this guy? Does he really think he is relevant?
I honestly can't imagine him lecturing to any anti-gov't protestors.

Sounds like this "Group of 40" are not going to let the gov't ramrod this amnesty bill down their throats at the demands of a fugitive criminal. Good on them!

I don't even think Thai pilots have ever heard of "Noise Abatement" procedures at airports, much less practice it.

A poll conducted in the southern provinces found 95% of residents are against any trial of Abhisit and Suthep.
So what!
the survey, conducted upon 1,190 subjects by Isaan Poll, indicates that 72.5% of the respondents prefer to see Mr. Abhisit and his former deputy face the court prosecution
So what !
With a margin of error of 99%

It's time for the Dems to go for the jugular. Pheu Thai are on their knees. I believe they were shocked at this resistance and are now lost as to what to do, although Thaksin has many backup plans. So be forewarned, it will not be an easy battle as Thaksin has vowed he will never lose. Keep up the good fight! Don't back off or Thaksin and group will get a fresh breath of air with a new plan to ruin Thailand as we know it.

It would help people here, if you at least could say in which area you are looking for Auction places
Yes, there's an auction house just down the street.

I'm really ready to forgive Ms. Yingluck for this bill. I believed her when she said she had nothing to do with it, knew nothing about it, hadn't read it, please ask
myThaksin's Pheu Thai MPs.Now for the relatives of 24 dead, truly amazing. Ms. Thida of the UDD has told us all her members want justice, not just the 7.5m Baht compensation. Did she loose touch with them? What's next, the application to the ICC to investigate withdrawn?
What's next?????
How about the NACC disbanding Pheu Thai for the rice scheme corruption, and all the other corrupt programs like flood management, etc. More bad news coming for Pheu Thai. Just my humble, but wishful opinion.

Now it's time for Parliament and all the MPs to pack their bags and close shop. No more need for gov't legislation, as now, Thaksin is free to run the country as he pleases. Also, the Red Shirts can get lost, you are no longer needed either. And you don't think Thaksin is going to have a chip on his shoulder when he returns. Anybody associated with the opposition better watch their back. The new Thailand is coming and I'm not sure I like what I see.
-
"The bill also goes against the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) as it allows state officials and political manipulators off the hook, he said."
Of which Thailand has ratified and signed on to. -
Reading between the lines:
The government is scared sh#tless.

The push is on! The government is feeling the pressure from the man abroad. The opposition has not had any luck effectively rallying the masses to put up any resistance to the amnesty steamroller moving through parliament . Thaksin knows this and is getting anxious to come home a free man.
Just heard that Thaksin will be in India on October 27. It appears that all his cronies will be there also for their face time with him.
I hope it's not to late for the opposition to rally the forces. It's now or never!

I'm sure Thailand would have had a banner export year if they didn't include the rice scheme.

centrala post # 3.
Time to implement an ISA for Chatuchak to shut the red shirt protests down.
No doubt that parliamentary time will be taken up with the current amnesty bill thus there will be no time to request an I.S.A. concerning this particular matter.
Surely no double standards exist.
-
"Granting amnesty to people involved in politically motivated incidents was in accordance with international legal practice, Chavalit added."
I don't think that granting amnesty to Thaksin for his inciting the 2010 riots is in accordance with international law.

Not the brightest Shinawat in the box is he? But then we knew that already.
Of course all politicians are concerned they will lose any political 'game'......... that's the essence of politics after all.
Could you imagine any grown up country giving 2 hoots what the son of someone has to say about something like this?
Shall we interview Tony Blair's son on tax policy in the UK, or bush's daughters on where they think the fed maybe going wrong with qe ?
Grow up Thailand and stop this dynastic political style on all sides of the spectrum.
Maybe Oak should meet Chelsea Clinton. Two of a kind.

Looks like Surapong has a little egg on his face!
Bad news for any Foreign Minister to have to face. Thailand just gets "No Respect".
Boat captain abandons novice US divers in middle of the ocean in Thailand

Are you kidding me? This is Thailand at its best. These so called boat captains will just move a few spaces down the beach and continue to offer boat services to any unsuspecting guest. There is no regulations regarding boat captain's responsibility.
Supposedly, these tourist were diving with instructors who live and work here in Thailand. They should have known better. IMHO, they are the ones at fault for this terrible experience.
