  1. Wow you have had your share of problems with this Tomtaylor1.

There is a Dyno on Sukhumvit road opossite soi Siam Country club entrace... it is behind the gym, maybe take it there and have it sorted properly before you start melting pistons.

They are pretty good, they do the dyno work on our BT-50 race trucks and Mazda 2 race cars.

  2. After Marriage = Divorced ?

Debts are common liabilities even during marriage. After divorce the husband would receive his 50% share of common property and liabilities during the legal proceeding unless there was a prenuptial agreement made prior to the marriage which specified otherwise.

I'm not sure if the question involves what could happen if one marries a woman who is already heavily indebted.

I was asking if by "after marriage" the OP was talking about being divorced.

In a nut shell any debt accumulated during the marriage both partners are liable for 50% each upon divorce, any debt accumulated by either partner before of "after" marriage is their own debt.

Please see post # 7 which may be helpful.

"In a nut shell" = generally. which also implies there are exceptions.

Thank you for outlining the exceptions.

  3. Well in my area of Naklua ( Pattaya ) it's mainly a Thai Area ( very few farang ) The normal thais are earning from 6,500 to about 9,000 baht a month ( 9,000 for the 7 eleven staff ) which all seem to be happy and enough for them to pay for the rent, food and most have a motorbike.

    Farang Jaidee wub.png ( jing jing ) x

I was just up your area (went to the fish market) and wow there is some slums there.... I reckon you could get something even cheaper without looking too hard.

  5. Yeah click on the find a dealer button and Thailand is not listed.

I reckon they will reply as such.

Hence thread asking if anyone knows an agent/stockist here.

Give them a call at their Silverwater Branch and they'll have one on a plane in a heartbeat.

I prefer to explore the option of the battery already being here before I contemplate the import/freight of a 24kg battery.

A good reason to call them.

And what do you think they will say beside "sure, we can send you one. Battery cost will be $500.00 and postage $300.00".

So back to the OP. Does anyone know of an agent or stockist here in Thailand.

  6. Ask them:

    http://www.odysseybattery.com/contact.aspx

"EnerSys is the global leader in stored energy solutions for automotive, military, and industrial applications. With manufacturing facilities in 18 countries, sales and service locations throughout the world, and over 100 years of battery experience, EnerSys is a powerful partner for automotive service and parts providers."

  8. Quote: "Of course, the prices here in Thailand are way high, but here too the Bolt has the Sportster 883 beat by 120,000 Baht."

Come on, let's talk again after 2 years riding both bikes. Depreciation will likely have eaten up the 120,000 Baht difference. Moreover, H-D's reliability has improved dramatically more than a decade ago.

Ride both bikes for a decade and then you'd be lucky if you get 165,000 B for the Bolt. And parts prices are pretty reasonable when you order in the U.S.

    Ride on!

Wasn't there a rumor some time ago that HD was gonna build a factory in Thailand for their smaller cc bikes ?

If this is true I bet prices from HD may get hit.

I believe HD are still looking for an assembly facility here.

  9. Thanks, I have to get my own Voltometer.

Tried Homepro yesterday and 2 electrical shops today and none had them crazy.gif

You would have spent less time by just taking it to a battery store. they will test it (you can even watch them) and they will be able to supply a new one when you discover yours is kaput.

  10. I thought Fitter was in reference to a Fitter and Turner (which is a dieing trade in Aus, along with Boiler Maker), not a basic technician who takes something from a box and bolts it to a vehicle (which is basically what a mechanic is these days, plug in the computer and it tells you what is malfunctioning, then replace that part).

I design and build bespoke armouring solutions for discrete civilian vehicles. Iam not an engineer.

    So your a Fabricator.........thumbsup.gif

Correct, A fabricator that starts from a customer request through to design to cad drawing to laser cutting to fabricating to fitting and finally to production hand over once the armour has been engineer approved.

My business card says "Prototype Armour Engineer" but that is a wank.

Fair enough. But has the Prototype Armour Engineer managed to get me a headache rack for my Ranger yet?

Big pile of them at work mate but nearly impossible to sneak one out the door with the new security guards which is compounded by the fact there is zero chance one would fit into my Mazda 3.
