It always starts on the 11th in the bar areas, every year. Main day is the 19th. Big traffic jams, esp on Suk. Naklua, BTW, is the 18th, with all that implies. Has a knock-on effect into Pattaya. Yes, the 20th is dry. Get out and survey the damage, laugh at the "Songkraned" cars and bikes.

Deprecated. Now Open-Shell: https://github.com/Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu You can also apply a lot of tweaks to make Win 10 look and act more like Win 7: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/make-windows-10-look-like-windows-7 And use a desktop theme, and you'll hardly know you have Win 10:

We've had that discussion. Remember, and try to find an exit to your loop.

But that would be sour grapes, in this case. And failed to inform Windows Update, right. Where may I download Rufus from Microsoft with instructions? No.

Since we've been discussing passwords lately: --https://www.extremetech.com/internet/ai-can-now-crack-most-passwords-in-less-than-a-minute Paranoids and legit crims, take note.

No. Usual forum myth inevitably repeated.

Won't need that piddly graphics card. He can check about the fit. Adapters are out there.

What gives you that idea?

USB, I'd avoid. I even have a mobile SATA rack in my case for hotswapping HDs and SSDs. Now I doubt the OP wants a USB solution, but up to him, of course. OP didn't say how old his drives are . . . if he got 12 years of torrenting 24/7 from any of them, he should express his gratitude to the manufacturers and ask for an endorsement fee.

Quick & dirty. Here's an NVME: https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/50326/1471/250-GB-SSD--เอสเอสดี--WD-BLUE-SN570---PCIe-3-NVMe-M-2-2280--WDS250G3B0C-

The OP didn't request a new PSU. Or a NUC or a Rasberry Pi or a new PC. Knee jerks, I don't do. Evidently he has no problems with it, unless of course that's the problem, lol. Quality brand, lots of headroom. He didn't say how old it is. Quality PSUs often last longer than 12 years, as you'll read if you look, and many (knowledgeable) users don't change them until they die or don't meet new specs. Fortunately, they almost always die quietly. Both the (quality) PSUs in my computers are about 15 years old, been through several upgrades with me, still good. They may last longer than I will. Cheap PSUs, such as you find in cheap builds, are a different matter. I'd switch any of those out in a minute.

Well, go take a look at the pics of the OP's PC he wants to upgrade and see if you can find one. Bonus points: find a case and HDDs.

I do. You?

I like to build "sleeper" computers. Take an old case, like a Compaq Presario from the late 90s, gut it and create a hot rod w/ all new parts. I'd love to see the face of a tech, years in the future, when he opens it up. Anyway, to SHOCK! answer your question, if you want to upgrade to the tune of around B12,000 you could, just off the top o' me head (but there are lots of options) do this: SSD https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/28175 CPU https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/47944/CPU--ซีพียู--AMD-RYZEN-5-5600G-3-9-GHz--SOCKET-AM4- Motherboard (ATX) https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/33224/MAINBOARD--เมนบอร์ด--ASROCK-B450-STEEL-LEGEND--DDR4---SOCKET-AM4---ATX- RAM https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/18872 JIB would install for you and clone your system drive and get it running. You could add a eSATA adapter card from Lazada or Aliexpress. BTW, a good source for asking build/upgrade advice from sympathetic experts who'll read your post: https://reddit.com/r/buildapc/. Here, you're gonna get a NUC or Rasberry Pi and thereafter confine your computer usage to surfing around, watching youtube, streaming UK TV (everyone does that constantly), and checking email. Now there is a good case to made for a NUC + NAS configuration to meet your needs--if you got the dosh.

Disgusting. We really don't like people just being happy with that they have.???? Especially if it isn't a NUC. A NUC running Win 11. Aliexpress also has a large range of used MBs and new Chinese-made ones as well. But I like the idea of taking it to shop first. Maybe it is just the old thermal paste. Maybe his fan's dying; mine was, getting noisy, replaced it with Noctua and all's good. SSDs are a relatively good buy these days. Clone to a new WD Blue and he's good to go.

The NUC chant begins. OK, how would he fit his 5 drives into a PN51 or NUC?

And you should encrypt at least the Linux /home partition or better yet the entire disk at installation. Veracrypt has of course a Linux version. However, the container needs a Linux-compatible filesystem. ExFAT may be the most convenient way to go if you have files larger than 4GB; otherwise, FAT32's good out of the box.
-
True. You might disconnect other disks, however, like backup disks. Linux has been known to put grub on them as well. Trivial; not a risk; not a worry.

Then Eraser is irrelevant to you anyway. Besides, "opening" wasn't your point. And Windows does track what files you recently opened, in the Registry. Your file, or part of it, may also find its way into the pagefile. You wouldn't Trim every time you open your sensitive file unless you're worried that at any moment the FBI might break into your computer. So you're better off encrypting your entire system disk or using Linux. Can't imagine I'd ever do that.

Lot of those out there. Winamp finally came out recently w/ an official version. Haven't tried it. I use foobar most of the time. However for audiobooks I use Musicbee. Has a lot of equalization possibilities w/ plugins. AIMP is good. I like Clementine on Linux, can access internet radio as well. Has a Windows version. Trimming after delete takes care of that, pretty much. Simple and intuitive, does basic editing, markup, and batch conversions: Faststone Image Viewer https://www.faststone.org/. Used it for years. Packaged manager for installing a lot of programs at once, and does updating as well: https://chocolatey.org/. Tried it for the first time when setting up a Win 10 for a friend and it worked well. Does require some configuration, config file may need to be manually edited to save time.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2023)

I don't understand why people mention that other people mentioned Time Travel. (There weren't any) -
'Course you may mean, instead of deserting the field like a simp to go lie with a skirt, going out in a blaze of glory fighting, as in "do not go gentle." Competing in one's sport, for example. George Sheehan, the running guru, wrote A man, Peguy is telling us, is responsible for his own death. It should be in character. Done in one’s own style. I have seen death plain in a September surf, and it was all wrong for me, and I escaped. And I have seen death symbolically in a marathon and know certainly that is the way I must end: finally coming to a stop and falling apart like the wonderful one-horse shay. --Running And Being And so he competed almost to the end, when prostate cancer got him. Or defying mortality amid the weights and machines at the gym. Jack LaLanne worked out vigorously the day before he died at age 96. The gym is a temple where you can go and pray for one more day. --Naval @naval
