Trump the convicted felon gets off so why not Bidens son?
BigStar replied to advancebooking's topic in Political Soapbox
Relevant, as it addresses the credibility of your whataboutism that you pretend you don't believe in: the meaningless repetition of hearsay, rumor, and usual leftist attacks that you've sucked up and repeated here as if it's relevant to the fact that Trump graduated from Wharton. It doesn't matter what you consider; whatever it is, is likely to be wrong anyway. -

Neither here nor there. He graduated. His record is understandably private, just as Obama's are: Obama never released his transcripts from Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard. That doesn't bother you, of course. 🙂 Privacy laws prevent unis from releasing private records; no need to threaten. Hearsay, rumors, attacks by leftists, sometimes paid, have no credibility. You remember when your gullible self sucked up: -

To repeat: Trump graduated from Wharton, a top school. -
What’s Better: Cisgender or Transgender Thai Women?
BigStar replied to 123Stodg's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Deprecated: cisgender Now PC: non-transgender "I went out with a non-transgender woman last night." "My best friend is a non-transgender man." Must always be specified, as transgender is the privileged class now and the de facto standard. If unspecified, we may assume transgender. "I went out with the guys last night." = all transgenders. per New York Times usage -
Karma got her. New estate flooded and she had to get out of it. Heh. Always rent, never buy?

Pattaya Flourishes from Quiet Fishing Village to Vibrant Tourist Hub
BigStar replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Yep, all the major roads have been resurfaced, Beach Road widened. The Tunnel's good, no flooding. Been a lot of disruption with putting in more drainage pipes to alleviate flooding. Seems finally done, might do some good. Traffic is still a major issue, but signifies Pattaya's overall economic vibrancy. Supporting ride sharing is a welcome modern improvement, though not the Holy Grail we demand for satisfaction. Buses been tried, nobody wanted to ride them. Monorail is usually cited by our Pattaya trolls just as the Red Bull heir is by our ANF Justice Oversight Board. How about BKK traffic these days? All smooth sailing now that they have BTS and MRT? -

But Hunter's case covers any and all crimes that haven't even been discovered yet, but might be when investigators aren't stonewalled by the DOJ and FBI. It may be that Hunter threatened Biden with revealing hard evidence about Biden's role and gains in the influence-peddling scheme if he's not pardoned. Biden may be susceptible to threats, as it's widely speculated that Pelosi threatened him with the 25th amendment, besides losing the election. -
But that's just you, and you don't like Trump. Or it may re-energize the movement. Politicians need a lot of money to get elected. Depends on who's receiving and who isn't. 🙂

But the Times seems to think it'll work. I'll take their speculation over yours.

What prescience on my part. Trump suggests Canada become 51st state after Trudeau said tariff would kill economy

In the 70s after the American military had left. Germans and Australians, mainly. Really picked up in 1978 w/ influx of offshore oil workers. -

A common, oft-repeated myth we love. The only American soldiers in the region were at U-tapao. They visited (not "frequented," they worked on the base) in a desultory fashion w/ a few buddies for occasional fishing. Rented boats, headed out towards Koh Larn. -

Trump the convicted felon gets off so why not Bidens son?

It's a simple example of the Complex Question fallacy. I.e., nonsensical. Trump isn't a convicted felon or even convicted of anything, as a judgement of guilt hasn't been entered. The judge can, and may, dismiss the entire case. You don't dismiss a conviction; you overturn it. And if Trump were convicted, he'd immediately appeal. He can't. NY evidently will call a mere verdict a "conviction," but it's rather nonsensical. Note that our leftists don't accept NY law when it comes to the supposed assault and insist that it's "rape." Hunter is now immune from prosecution for any and all crimes from the last 10 years! What corruption.- 116 replies

Ignorant nonsense. R&R was in Bangkok. It was wide open, and it had everything for everybody. The bases, except U-tapao, were north of BKK in Isaan. Why spend your precious R&R fishing at a pretty much deserted beach with no bar scene or nightlife? As for U-tapao, it had its own regulated little bar scene even further south at a place called Newland. -

A lot has changed with the infrastructure. Don't worry, every change was accompanied by a loud chorus of sneers on the forum. You really think this many people are going to make into the beach and back w/ no gridlock? Well, then you wouldn't stay in Soi Diana. Pattaya's a large and diverse area. The vast majority of expats don't live in the CBD and don't even visit that regularly. -
Controlling symptoms via meds doesn't mean you're not still diseased. You still have a problem: a disease. And your underlying disease probably continues getting worse, since you aren't treating the underlying cause, and may contribute to related issues behind the scenes. Indeed, the med itself may help with that process. Meds also have side effects. Better to deal with root causes and then be med-free.

Disingenuous. A large sample size of otherwise perfectly healthy people w/ no other risk factors, notably those that cause the high BP in the first place. Doesn't really apply here, where our old overweight, out-of-shape posters do have the other risk factors, the diabetes, the high TG/HDL, the clogged arteries, and other aspects of metabolic syndrome. Even then, you may comfort yourself that your high BP doesn't guarantee you'll have a debilitating stroke or kidney failure (on the ANF Longevity Principle of No Ironclad Guarantee), so therefore

They take into consideration that you may not have sat and rested before the check. Or you may have white coat syndrome. And most people are overweight and out of shape, so higher BP is average nowadays. I would guess that only if it's dangerously high, or too high for a procedure, will they refer you to a heart specialist. In comprehensive checkups at the best private hsps, though, they'll certainly mention it as high, if it is. Many members here have mentioned making it a point to rest a bit before the check.

That's what Tina Turner thought. How's that work out for her?

Did you try it several times, making sure to get good contact? Maybe "iPhone syndrome" like "white coat syndrome?" 😉 Try the smart watch.
