Heard the "New Zen Coming" is actually the Zen Pad Tablet and not a phone.
Time will tell as there are many new items Asus is releasing in the zen phone line and Pegasus, but looks like only other countries.
Thailand has never been important to Asus as evidenced by never having an official release party or event.

found this on the net dated 09 August, 2015
Asus made the headlines as well, thanks to a total of three new devices. The Zenfone 2 Deluxe brings new styling to the current Asus lineup and the Zenfone 2 Laser comes boasting improved camera performance. The third new device is the Zenfone Max, which comes with a whopping 5,000 mAh battery pack.
Saw that as well, but there have been many different models and specs released and most of them never come to Thailand

Forget this shiiite, I will never buy any Asus phone until the rest in my life. Even my maid didn't want it for free !
Will you please explain why you hate the Asus phone and what model you had.

I just saw on the Asus Thailand store website a page that says " The New Zen is Coming"
Does anybody know what it coming?
Thanks

Very accurate, but you left one scenario out.
If you are working and earn over 40,000 baht a month, you need to make copies of your work permit, get a letter of employment from your employer, copies of your bank pages from the last 6 months, copies of Por Dor 1 for the last 2 months (tax record showing you are a company employee and any monthly taxes they paid for you), copies of the last 2 months of paper (forgot name) from company showing they paid your social security and a copy of your tax return and receipt showing you paid your yearly taxes.

First 24 hours:
Battery: After maybe an hour of doing nothing, it drops to 97%. I disabled some apps, including weather. Did not help.
Speed: Very fast. I had maybe 25 windows open. Not an issue at all!
Back button: Hard to get used to it, as it is on the far left.
Power button on top: Used too many Samsungs in my life!
Camera: Superb, and the camera app has tons of features to it, all that the touch of a button on the lower left of the camera screen. Auto, manual, hrd, beautification, super resolution, low light, night, depth of field, effect, selfie, gif animation, panorama, miniature, time rewind, panosphere, smart remove, all smiles and time lapse. Enough for the rest of us! Hardly any delay after the button is pressed. Stabilisation options for camera and video while using the app.
Sound: Very nice, crisp, some nice new ring tones.
Apps: way too many. To remove them, you need to root it. Sucks to high heaven.
System update: 3 in one day. They are on it!!! See link above.
Got a free back case and screen protector.
Will report more later.
Thank you for taking the time to write your update and review.
Please keep us posted.

Time once again for me to do my annual marriage extension.
Are there any new surprises or requirements I should be aware of?
I do not want to get blindsided when I go.
Thank you in advance.

Of course everyone is skeptical when they read these kind of stories, but sometimes they are true and my heart goes out to these people, if true.
Before people assume all these stories are are a hoax, please do not judge and if you want or can help people in these situations, why don't you meet them in person and then pass judgement. If not, just remain silent.
There is a word-COMPASSION-please look up the definition for all you fortunate people and hope you are never in this situation.

I am considering a health insurance policy with Pacific Cross.
Does anyone have any experience with this company?
Is the approval process quick and easy?
Is the claim procedure easy and do they pay the claim quickly?
Are there any problems with approval or claims? In other words, do they wiggle on these even though the items are "covered" in the policy?
Will and do they pay claims directly to the hospital so I do not have any out of pocket expenses?
I live in Phuket and plan to use Bangkok Hospital Phuket.
Any info or feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help!

Just read the Zenfone 2 will be available in Thailand in April.
Also saw the price is much higher than originally said. The prices are $299 and $439 with a cheaper 5 inch model to follow later.

Dunno. What you two are looking at. It has band 1 LTE and SD storage : http://m.gsmarena.com/asus_zenfone_2_ze551ml-6917.php
Click expand for all networks
http://www.asus.com/Phones/ZenFone_2_ZE551ML/
Maybe you're getting confused with the Zenfone 5 LTE which doesn't show band 1 LTE (2100)
The gsm link shows the 2100 band, but the Asus link shows no 2100 band. It does say specs vary by country.

Will this model support 4G from True?
They use 2100 and I see in the specs that 21 is not included

I also see that there is a Foreign Work test that will need to be done in order to see if I can receive my monthly benefits as well.
The test ONLY cares about how many hours you work and NOT how much you earn.
It says that if you work more than 45 hours a month, you will NOT receive your monthly benefits for that month.
Does anybody have any info on that?
Do you take the test each month?
If so, how do you take the test each month, etc.
Where are you getting this information from?
I also see is hardly a source
From the Social Security website and the American Citizens Abroad website.

Thank you so much for your replies, especially Ima_Farang
I did send an email to the Manila office and still waiting for a reply (about 8 days now). I understand they might be backlogged due to the holidays.
I intend to apply for my benefits before the full retirement age.
I just want to know what form I need to use to notify them of my Thai address and how to do it.

By the way, I have lived here for over 6 years and have filed my taxes each year even though I make less than $20,000 a year.

Where did you get your pricing from?
Any ideas of when this will be available in Thailand?
Thanks

I was told that I need to notify the Social Security Office of my address if I live and work outside the US and are under the full retirement age, at once, or I may lose my monthly benefits when I apply for social security.
Does anyone know anything about this?
I have lived here for over 6 years and never notified the SS office, will this create a problem?
Is there a form to fill out?
How often do I need to notify the SS office?
Where do I send this info to?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
PS-I plan to file for benefits later this year

Thank you for your replies.
Still a bit nervous, so hope it is as easy as you say.
