Good grief! What is all this extra time wasting and money wasting happening for? . Why can't they simply follow what the rest of the world is doing? . They akready have a factory producing a high quality, world recognise vaccine right here in thailand. How about using what they produce?

I think the constant spraying with detol or other chemical is likely going to be more detrimental to your health then going to the hospital and using sensible precautions like wearing a mask and using alcohol on your hands.

Well the OP needs to educate himself to the real life danger of catching covid at the hospital is if he wears a mask, social distances and washes his hands. If people are that scared and irrational then that is also 'not clever'.

Wrap yourself in several layers of cling film and squirt alcohol over your entire body every 5 minutes. A gas mask and space suit should also help. And a long cattle prod to shock anyone that get closer than 2 meters to you.

Yeh, I wondered why he is leaving so much of his money to his Ex! If one of my ex's was asking me how to get my money from my bank account when I died I would not be best pleased to say the least.

Before we could just buy and own a property there, work, use the health care system, travel in and out. But now I is not that easy Both Spain and Portugal have visa restrictions now that mean you can live there full time and if you want to apply to get nationality then you have to move all you pensions and pay all your taxes there and not in the UK. To qualify to live there all year you also have to buy a property that needs renovation and is expensive. You also have to have a 'passive income' which is quite a lot, and since I am not retired I can't use pensions for this. So it's not as easy as before Brexit.

If I were you I would use that money to enjoy your retirement. Spend it on yourself and what's left leave it to who you want by making a separate will here in Thailand What's the point of saving money up and not using it? You have no children / dependents or partner to leave it to so use it to have an enjoyable life in your retirement. Why is the Ex so worried about getting his hands on your money? Don't know your relationship with him but seems a bit off to me. If you want him to have some of you money why not just give some to him now? You are only 60 right? Likely you will have a new partner you night want to leave the money too.

We are right on the edge of selling up and moving away after living here full time for 15 years. So sad how it's changed so much. It's not the place we fell in love with. The virus just added to the frustration. And the government's mindset / vaccine rollout / restrictions etc are not exactly helping change our mind to stay here. We have to travel to other countries as part of our business, and with the current rules if we leave Thailand we can't return to our house and home here. Also, we have some legal stuff going on with a property in Phuket that needs urgent attention right now....and with the restrictions we are not allowed to travel there. It is so frustrating! We don't want to go back to the UK, and our plan to retire and own a house in Europe is gone - thanks to Brexit. Feeling trapped, depressed and not sure what our new plan should be. If we could travel again that would lessen the problems a lot and we would probably stay and ride the storm out But, with this slow vaccine rollout and complicated sandbox situation there seems no end in sight, at which point our business could fail and we might loose our property in Phuket.

I know that was the idea. But I have friends that live in Phuket, are fully vaccinated, they are Thai. They came to visit friends in CM and now they are not allowed back to their home in Phuket. We also looked at going back to the UK to get our own vaccinations then flying back to Phuket for the sandbox before leaving to go back our house in CM after it ended. But was told we can not do that. Also here in CM we are told no tourists are allowed here from Phuket because CM is a red zone. I am sorry, you could be correct. I am just confused by all the changing regulations and news. If I did go back to the uk and get vaccinated then return to the Phuket sandbox, are you saying we could then leave phuket to come home to CM? Or is it is because we would not have a tourist visa? Sorry to be so dumb.

I don't think that is the case. You can not travel to Chiang Mai or other areas. I think you have only got the choice of a few other islands.

Thai health care for Thai people is free at the government hospitals. If someone is asking you for money so they can get the rabies shots after getting bitten...they are lying to you. I got them myself as a farang at a government hospital. Only just over 1000 Baht for several injections and antibiotics.

He can not come and travel around Thailand as a tourist now, with or without a vaccine. Best case is he is in the sandbox Phuket thing. But then he can't leave the island for the mainland.

Domestic tourists are not allowed to travel to and from Phuket.

You know not everybody lives in Pattaya don't you? I am in Chiang Mai. Good to know that some people got appointments though. I got the impression some other posters seem to be confusing 'you application was successful' with 'you will definitely get a vaccination on such and such a date.'. Hope to hear from anyone that has actually been given an appointment date here in CM.

My partner and I are both expats and retirement visas. We also just got this e mail. So seems they will not be giving the vaccine to anyone? Most people would have the retirement visa or work visa. If they are working they are likely to be under retirment age and so will be told they are too young to get it. Hope they have not kept all the vaccines for themselves.

Funny how these 'alpha males' seem to end up with a trail of failed marriages, live with women who don't love them and who are out to rip them off at the slightest sign of their man's weakness, have their women regularly attack them yielding knives, and leave behind several of their own estranged children together with a large portion of their assets. They all also seem rather bitter against women in general. I suspect most men would not really want a life like that...but maybe they are not 'alpha' enough? Your wife is probably tired out looking after the baby.. and she also might have postnatal depression. How much do you help with your child? You should help her out with the child care so it's 50 / 50. Why don't you feel love from your own child too? Why don't you have any friends after living here so long? I am sorry for how you are feeling but sounds like there is much more going on with your situation that you have said. How about you looking after the baby for the day, giver your wife some money and tell her to go out and have the day to herself to relax a few times?

We used a very good vet for many years. Sadly the place closed down when the owner retired. We tried 3 different ones since then and they are not good. All refused to treat my pet parrot as they said they only treat cats and dogs. The poor bird as a mangled wind and bites from when a dog got into our garden and attacked it. They all said they did not know how to amputate the wing. How hard can that be?! In the end I got one to at least bandage it to the birds body to stop it falling over it. I asked for antibiotics and pain killers for it but the vet actually said that birds do not feel pain! These people are supposed to be trained qualified vets yet they think a bird can not feel pain? Then when my dog was sick with a tick parasite thing they gave me incorrect medication. The dog started to recover, but then went back down hill. Took it back in and they told my it was my fault for not giving it the medication that they never gave to me! I said why on earth would I do that. I had the receipt and bag with all the different medications in it and there was one kind missing and not charged on the recipt. It was clearly their fault they forgot to include it. But they would not want anyone to loose face. In the end the poor dog had to start all the treatments again and I had to pay again the full amount. I am sure many of the vets here are not very good. Still looking for a new one in CM.
