  1. wrong analogy - in the crime story, the person knows about being innocent, in this case, there was a first positive test
  2. I would have done that for a customer. It's not a big thing to do - at least it wasn't when I worked at a bank.
  3. couldn't this be sorted by the bank by just cancelling the charge and re-charging it now? then they issue a corrected statement and it's like the charge never happened.
  4. It's like when at my bank (global private bank with often over 6 billion profits) we had a compliance issue with a "special investment vehicle" registered in the Bahamas. Head of compliance roaring: "when will anyone here be able to tell me to who the f... this damn thing belongs ?? we need to close that ASAP" minutes later come a list, it went like this: X Y, head of private banking, managing director, board member, X Y, head of investment banking, MD, BM, X Y, head of asset management, MD, BM. Head of compliance (calm): "ok, let's move to the next item"
  5. we were trying to establish whether he knew he tested positive or not : in another thread you asked for an official source confirming asymptomatic infected COVID carriers could infect others, and this 2 years into the pandemic and you actively posting on forums... my advice would be to troll less and to read more.
  6. the facts are the following: - he tested positive - he fled what happened later, even if it's a relief, is not relevant to his attitude nor should it be for his punishment.
  7. correct. he had a first positive test, so for all involved including himself he was regarded as positive at the time - he should still face the music.
  8. ... and it's now officially in the wild in Thailand.
  9. to be fair, I had been looking back in 2014-2015 for a condo, and all the newer units' rooms were shockingly small.
  10. my advice to anyone who wants additional storage is always to get an external RAID-1 HDD or SSD enclosure. SSD like HDD do fail, and then the benefits of running RAID-1 will become obvious. all my HDD/SSD drives are RAID-1, especially the system disks, where having a spare in the same machine which can then run without interruption is a godsend. then just swap out the failed disk. no data loss, no reinstall.
  11. "in standby" as in: "didn't use the charger but the phone was on"
  12. really? more than 2 years into that damn pandemic and you are asking if infected asymptomatic people can transmit covid ? really ?
  13. It's not their latest phone, it lacks 5G. I don't consider that to be a big drawback, as 4G is more than enough speed for my needs and I guess 4G will still be around for more than 10 years. they have a Note 11 out which features 5G, but no separate memory card slot. instead the second sim slot is hybrid sim or memory card. OS version on my Redmi 10S is Android 11. 128 GB internal, 2 GHz octocore and 8 GB RAM. the UI is very snappy. Left it in standby for over 10 days and it still had 20% battery when I switched it on. Other than it being a little "different" because I was used to Samsung phones so far, I have nothing negative to report about it.
  14. according to Thai news, Mr. Ohad Baruch is an Israeli National Guard https://workpointtoday.com/covid19-244/ as if he wanted to infect as many people as possible...
  15. I was about to post the same story. It's been in the news since morning already. How very selfish. I hope they throw the book at him.
  16. I'd love to know a good pizza place from where to order around Jomtien, where size, taste and value are just right. I tried Frankie's before, yes, it's good, but lacking a bit in the size and value departments. I had several Le Mar's pizzas in the past and I'd say it's good-average all round. I ordered a couple of times from the Pizza 2000 place at VT1, it was ok for value and size, the taste was ok but average. Also tried Toto's a couple of times (Thappraya near Dongtan, don't know if it's still there), and while size and value were okayish, taste suffered from the use of poor quality cheese and ham I tried "Pizza old school" (Kao Talo, Darkside) a couple of times, and it would check all boxes for me, but alas, it's too far away for me to order from.
  17. @OP regular routers don't have the CPU power to sustain normal bandwidth if connected to a VPN. Either the speed will be slow, or in the worst case they will overheat and stop to function. If you want to connect to a VPN on the router-level, you will need to buy a router that has been built for that purpose with more CPU power, for example of the Draytek brand.
  18. I don't have a Pixel 6, but I recently bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S, 2 SIM + memory card slot. Great phone at about 7000 baht, I like versatile phones (memory card, 2 sims, USB-C, headphone jack) with lots of CPU and battery.
  19. bad food is more expensive but requires way less effort and tastes better. that is the problem.
