Yup and then another idiot throws water on the fire under her car .....
a bucked of sand would have been better but then under the circumstances what was he to do in an effort to douse the fire.

Well she has left a good deposit not to.
shy should be in jail.a body could have been wedged in place of the motor bicycle.

they forgot to mention that Thai police cannot be bothered to investigate the matter unless they are shamed in the media.....
really. you mean to say that will not act based on the data available. amazing.

Testing with tourists to check that it is safe to use ... that's about it ......
no. the trials would have been carried out earlier.
it is common to give free rides for a limited period during the launch of new services and it not local to this event.

the gulf on some days can be very windy with come choppy seas.
so factor that in to the top speed.
I live in Hua Hin. I wonder how many more bar fights and stabbings we are going to have?
Now that the "I look like I just got out of prison" people are going to be arriving from Pattaya.
be positive. amongst a few baddies there will be a lot of good tourism. this will be for betterment of tourisms both in phuket and hua hin.

113 km in 100 minutes. isn't that fast.
if the service is carefully and successfully implemented it will open a new chapter in the history of tourism in Thailand.

Reinforcements have been made to the controversial Bali Hai pier and harbor master Ekarat Khantaro has expressed confidence that final checks will mostly have been completed by the end of this month, reports.
Is that checks or cheques?
i feel structural engineers should be involved to check the integrity of the pier before commencement of the service. better to be safe than sorry.

you reap what you sow. if the defect is in the basics then then result cannot be satisfactory. Send the professors for a training to start off or get native English teachers to conduct the programme.

Exactly, you beat me to it. I was about to say exactly
rhe same thing, that all this means is that the operators of the ferry haven't given the correct amount of money as a bribe to the right people yet so they have made an excuse to put a hold on it until they do. Typical behavior and outcome really and nothing more than expected.
hope you are right. it could be that the pier is genuinely not safe.

Why is everybody including the authorities all of a sudden so protective of the operators? If they think 1200 baht is a fair price it is their risk. I personally rather pay 1200 baht for a ferry than spend hours in a deadly bus. I was really looking forward to the ferry. We should be glad somebody is taking the initiative, if you stil prefer the bus it is your decision.
you cannot take a chance with peoples lives. if the pier is not safe then the whole exercise is a danger to everybody.
-
clear case of cart before the horse. surely they should have checked up all the infrastructure even before thinking of planning the ferry.

And this actually surprises anyone?
surely the Thai traffic code does not provide for this kind of treatment.

These articles never surprise me any more.
The sheer number of accidents involving buses is incredible, and most, if not all, must have something to do with the driver's lack of ability to handle them.
as mentioned in my post it could be fatigue, drugs or plain negligence.
-
thank God it did not turn out to be too serious. it appears to be the driver's error of judgement based on the report. he should have regulated his speed while negotiating the curve. fatigue, drugs or plain negligence?

what an end. RIP poor soul.

This move must be the craziest move this government has made. Everyone is pissed about this move except those who don't use this service because someone drive them where they want to go.
what about the congestions problems it causes. unfortunately there is some pain when a new idea is tried out but if the new idea is not working it should be given up.

that is the tragedy. you must highlight the action taken against hooliganism and give them deterrent sentences.

I have left a number of bars because the music was TOO loud. I have never complained because it was not loud enough.
heard the saying to each his own. this is a personal choice and right, considering the right in relation to other guests of course.

It's not a nice place. I find the foreign bar owners to be more repulsive than the Thai ones. Go to a developing country to pimp local peasant women, can't get more despicable than that.
sorry to fail to see your point.
