  1. Yep, you noticed too? inhumane police that does trafficking. "Learning Inglish buy exapmle"
  2. Some are so dumb they believe "what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas" i.e. what they did in Bahrain will remain "hidden secret". However doing bonga-bonga for financial benefits (a.k.a. "doing Natasha") will turn attitude and some reactions of "tilack" into un-disputably noticeable "working girl". Heard that from pro.
  3. Our neighbor's daughter went to work in Bahrain since 2015-ish as "manager for International company" three or four times. With basic "thai international school" education (means "banana") and 2 years of college in Aussie-land (means banana v 2.0). What I noticed she became really snobbish toward not only thais but farangs. On the bright side - she bought Nissan car, paid for a condo (Life @ Suthisan) and doing pretty well-off in Bangkok between her trips to Bahrain. My point is: no way that un-experienced young thai woman will get that much dough for doing something in the office. Those who flew to Bahrain knew pretty well that they won't do massage only but obviously some sake-sake and boing-boing instead. Please get things real!
  4. The company [online something] save huge on work-permits and visa runs thanks to this Covid-extension thingy )))
  5. The mysterious black [or rather brown] box of Thailand Pass! The child of advanced AI breakthrough technology conceived in bright minds of local engineers and developers! Combining OCR, AI, Big Data, Cloud computing, multi threading and eco-friendly hosting - the amazing achievement on new generation of Thai IT industry in cooperation with Thai MoH and Royal Thai Immigration! All Hail!
  6. Just a small correction: she is a teacher in some private kindergarten/primary school, yes she is Russian-decent, but she is not a teacher of Russian language. I wish her full and rapid recovery and congratulate Royal Thai Police. This story brought some memories back 15 years ago, when 2 Russian ladies were slaughtered/shot dead and thrown at the beach in Pattaya and ridiculous investigation / rather cover-up.
  7. Lemme correct this: those arrived in couples [mostly], stay at least 2 in a room. So the actual/average price is at least 12,000 batatas per month. For a guest house as it is [not a 4 star hotel - fake] that's pretty hefty harvest. 35 rooms fully occupied during low season for 3 month at 12,000 smackoroonies per month? How noble and kind of khun Chart-Maak!
  8. Not being "cynical": just that banana thing ... Either translate or transliterate - otherwise looks like some Kaballistic script: Banana water wa? Alay wa? Oh, you mentioned small and uber-sweet bananas? Why wouldn't you say that? Learning Thai by examples?
  9. sorry, but its not 4 star hotel. Been there. Rather hyped-up guest house. they like fruit and served some bananas... Weird. mostly Ukrainians? ^^^ just love the way they report )))
  10. Cybercrime division is the sort of luxurious harbor for elites as I learnt from our long time friend who is quite big Kahuna at RTP - that's why Interpol flew in asking "<deleted> are you doing?". Ah, slide show, how touchy )))
  11. Maybe its a question of numbers? I never paid more than 12K/m, so didn't care much about "sec.deposits". But those with much bigger rent - yep, that will be different picture. My last one is the 2 stores house (not a town house in god-forsaken Nontaburi) for 10K. Painted, fixed it and upgraded myself and don't care about deposit.
  12. Very true. They will always try to keep some. Or delay payment. Or post-date check. They consider "security deposits" as an "extra bonus" ))))
  13. Utter generalization and misleading. receipt? why should keep paper for years if you can request history from the bank? You keep 'em since 1995? That's dumb thing to do, right?
  14. Yes, it is and always will be upon agreement. 2+1 months advance is quite popular, but there are many others. I knew once a family that paid quarterly: 4 times a year. More convenient. An Israeli dude who paid whenever he had cash. Turkish jeweler who paid annually.
  15. brit dude [lets call him Kevin] runs webcam biz in Bangkok [lets say eastern Suthisan area] in a very straight forward way: notebook+webcam+lights and hi speed Internet connection at the one of many flats [aka condo] he rented. So he decided to expand his biz from students to those dudes with boobs as he heard they make/bring much more $$$ than girls in Pattaya and Phuket. .... .... He said "why instead of making <deleted> load of money with me they stole freaking notebooks and cameras and run away? I just don't get it!"
  16. what a relief! just another thing is annoying is "how to edit/delete" my previous posts? Say it I mentioned somebody's personal details few weeks ago or change my opinion on Melania's T. gender???
  17. long ago dumb waiter served pork sausages to very orthodox fella. he told it was not pork until it turned otherwise. That was fun watching the owner (khun german) apologizing. Yes, that beer garden at the end of Soi Cowboy. However about this case: I know few very peculiar gentlemen who will be delighted to participate in trial case against that <deleted> hole shop called "hotel" on behalf of that poor lady. som-nam-na"? I don't think so.
  18. How do you block those annoying trolls? I mean it's quite tiresome to scroll their "my thoughts my opinion" mega-smarts trash?
  19. Sounds too complicated. Hey. zis iz Thailadn, folks. I've been renting rooms (a.k.a. condos), houses, apartments since last century and it was always easy-peasy: 2 month down-payment + 1 month advance = here's your keys and never see you again except every freaking month's 30th. Contract? just a paper ... The only thing is slightly important is you should always transfer from your bank account to her/his/it account name. No cash. That's it. PS: landlord (funny term) can and will kick you out from the room/studio/flat/house anytime it pleases without refund, hang a padlock or change a entrance keys for whatever reason, so behave. No laws apply here. And yes, renting without paying taxes is illegal.
  20. What I understood about study in Australia is a waste of money: you pay premium for being International student, massive accommodation fees and overall cost of living. Uni of Queensland? of Sidney? even good forsaken Tasmania University is way too expensive. We end up with Singaporean Institute - better quality of education and almost half price. 4 years. PS: What is the program that lasts only a single year?
  21. why do ppl call this "investment" while its a plain vanilla "gambling"?! I've been watching "the death spiral" of that LUNA coin, last year it was kee-coin DOGE and everybody were looking at SNL for Mask's prophecy. That UST peg was a hoax, but deeper - where are those backup reserves that support USDT? And the main question: if folks lost money than who gained and where are the those dollars now? North Korea? Nigeria? 2 US hedging funds? Putin? Singaporean dude who wrote that <deleted> algo?
  22. 30+ something neighbor next door invested 500K on May 11 and 1M yesterday on #LUNA coins. We haven't seen him since while the price reached 0.00005 BUSB He was so proud with his investment just a day ago, and something tells me these were not his money.
  23. Once I tried to explain why you shouldn't warm/heat up canned food in microwave oven. After about half-hour I found out that nice and friendly person was actually [hm] not that educated to grasp my basic physics arguments. It was terms from another planet in another planet's language. Yes, there IS some fat and very expensive server [computer with ultimate power] at Chaengwattana Road and its "mirror" at CAT building in Bangrak. Those are processing scanned pictures of your fingers with "significant" points and curves. Software was "donated" by [guess who] americans, developed in the Middle East by some friendly folks, but rumors are it was actually outsourced to hardworking people in Maharashtra. Yes, you can run queries between those "rendered" images, but [sorry] not in real time and not through multiple [thousands] terminals all over the country. And final peach on the cactus: The main database of arrivals-departures [land-air-banana boat] is NOT yet "interlinked" with Ministry of Interior data and that fancy "hummus-massala" soft.
  24. transactions are verrry expensive to "run fingers" of every farang. Facial recognition used in small country in the Middle East costs gassilions so they had to reconsider running "single snout vs. whole database" Now consider prosperous SE Asian country and how is it possible to pay for "mix'n'match fingerprints". So the answer is "hell no". Another one - what is the punishment for illegal entry? fee + overstay + detention center and airport. Can be done within a day, but it depends on lawyer's quality. Fingerprint scanners are only to collect data, not to send it to some super-computer to search and match.
