Statement of Purpose for Thai universities HELP
At this time we're writing something about "mission" - but it seems they also don't know what is the correct form of SoP too. @kingstonkid in your case it is even harder: "robotics and engineering courses" if he failed they (parents) will blame you. Do you want that to happen? Maybe use ChatGPT?

Tourist Visa to USA for Thai GF
I think that there's some sweepstake machine at the US Emb. ever since. I saw complete misfits who went to US and remains there as a nurse and successful businessman from IT industry who was denied 2 weeks visa to go to annual Comp Expo in Las Vegas. Nothing rational behind their actions. As for agents - obviously not helping.

American Expats Flock to Russia: MAGA Voters Seek Nostalgia and Stability
what is all about? Yes, there are americans moving to RU, while overwhelmingly more russians dream or on the move to US. They have their own reasons. Sometimes are strange, sometimes obvious. Who cares? Also who cares about plumbing in the 11 time zones country?

American Expats Flock to Russia: MAGA Voters Seek Nostalgia and Stability
Yes, that is very true. Nobody wants. Somewhere near Men-Chai area of Huay Kwang in international private school taught openly 6ay teacher w/nickname Falco. Outraged parents submitted "WTF letter" to headmaster and soon Falco got fired. Midterm. He promised to sue the school: Some Farang Ding-dong against big international school in Bangkok.

American Expats Flock to Russia: MAGA Voters Seek Nostalgia and Stability
Yeah, those mega rivers & lake Baikal. Something to remember and consider that (like TH) Moscow is not Russia "per se" as Bangkok doesn't represent Thailand. My colleague went to Sakhalin (far east of RU with volcanoes, hot springs and amazing views). Completely mind blowing according to him.

American Expats Flock to Russia: MAGA Voters Seek Nostalgia and Stability
ChatGPT perhaps? let me try: American expatriates in Russia are often diverse in their reasons for moving, professional interests, and personal circumstances. Some may be in Russia for work, study, family ties, or friendship support. Russia can offer various opportunities for American citizens, such as jobs in international companies, education in universities, or immersive cultural and language experiences. Immigrants often encounter differences in culture, language, and customs, which can be challenging but also lead to a deeper understanding and adaptation to the new environment. Additionally, it's important to consider administrative formalities like visas, residency permits, and other legal aspects of living in Russia. Since the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, the situation for expatriates, including Americans, residing in Crimea has become complex. From the international legal perspective, Crimea is considered Ukrainian territory and its annexation by Russia is not recognized by many countries including the United States. For American expatriates living in Crimea, it may present unique challenges. Due to political tensions, there may be limitations on consular services and diplomatic support from the U.S. government in Crimea. Travel restrictions and sanctions imposed by the U.S. and other countries can also impact expatriates living in the region. Moreover, the political situation and security concerns in Crimea can have implications for everyday life, including access to certain services, freedom of movement, and legal protections. It's essential for expatriates in Crimea to stay informed about the local situation, adhere to relevant laws and regulations, and consider how the geopolitical context may affect their stay in the region.

American Expats Flock to Russia: MAGA Voters Seek Nostalgia and Stability
Language barrier is the big issue - RU or TH. unless you're going to live in the international community you'll bump into obvious and very annoying problems. IMHO more Russian were/are relocation to USA than backward Trump made a fortune on "born in USA" kids and their families. From Russia, Ukraine and other ex-USSR states. $50K/pop

1. Not sure. But I think they would NOT care about your visa status. 2. Not at all! Just replaced my K-Bank card - they took a copy of first page and that was over. Bangkok Bank branch replaced expired VISA card only with copy of the front page (friend did that about 6-7 years ago).

Bad areas in BKK
Nope. Just scary groups of drunk and agitated men shouting and calling thai insults + few english slurs. I was lucky to distance myself. From 11 PM many places of BKK don't look safe. I haven't seen police patrols after dark. Ever.

As I noticed they (over-stayers) are doing just fine - card expired? use online banking and friends to cash out. Passport? 500 thb should be enough to compensate.

Bad areas in BKK
On personal experience: Klong Toey, Huay Kwang around market area, used to be Pratunam. Indeed Samut Prakan and Bang Kapi slums. those are "no go zones" at night. During day Bangkok is very safe
