Making my dreams true: Bicycle parts and accessory, especially Schwalbe tires, "real" Aromat (not the stuff they sell here under the same brand name and appearance - big difference!), Swiss cheese (kilos!), French salami (kilos), "le Parfait" (kilos), uncommon taste Nespresso capsules, high quality tools/technical equipment.
Some of these things are available in Thailand, too, but for a much higher price and/or only in BKK. -

You might be interested to know that Thai is a perfect phonetic language, words are pronounced (well, can be) exactly as written with tones and long/short syllables.
Not true. You won't be able to pronounce more than 80% of Thai words correctly if you don't know how they have to be pronounced. Many of these words have their roots in Sanskrit/Pali language.

I would love to see if there is any difference, if the kids are taught by Foreign English Teachers as compared to Thai 's.
My bet is not very much.
Visit remote hill tribe villages. They often have native English speaking missionary teachers. The children speak much better English, have a better pronunciation and don't fear chatting with English speaking people as most Thai village children taught by Thai teachers do. You will hear the difference immediately.

... maybe we should start our own policeforce? I'm willing to pay for that.
No need for "our own policeforce". If you are willing to pay the regular police will work for you as well.

I have been to Japan and I know the washlet, in Central Europe since my youth marketed under the brand name Closomat.
But this was not my point: What I like the typical Thai bum shower for - even as a "borrowed vegetable sprayer" - is that it is - unlike the washlet - affordable for everybody, easy to install and maintain, and guarantees a most efficient intimate hygiene. Never saw it widely spread in any other country, unfortunately. -
The common bum shower is the best - and afaik exclusive - invention I know from Thailand.
Everytime I come to a place where it's not offered I simply take a 1.5 l bottle of water with me to the restroom. No need of this useless "portable bidet" toy at all! -

'Chiang Mai' in the drop down box on the form was "Chingmai" yesterday. I expect that will be corrected one day soon.
After one and a half year still not corrected. And that on a government page!
A matter of mindset ... -
In case you mean something like this (very often in red and golden colours): You'll find it even in DIY malls like DoHome but in any case in Ban Thawai.
The one on the pic I made by myself. The second pic I found googling for Thai Buddhist altar; these are the most common ones you find mostly in the shops. You should also have a look into the Buddhist supply shops e.g. at Warorot area.

In more than 20 years living in Saraphi I received approximately, let's say, at least 60 parcels from abroad, lots of them of no small value. 90% by regular mail.
Not a single one disappeared, some came a little bit - up to 2 weeks - later than expected due to customs checks.
I have a high opinion of the Thai Postal Services. -
Chiang Mai Plastic at Warorot market area (N18 47 21.9 E99 00 02.0) has sheets I'ld say big enough for a windscreen, thickness about 3 mm.

Where's this rain they keep talking about in Chiang Mai? This month has been the driest August I've ever experienced in over a dozen years. Occasional 1-hour tinkle then it dries up.
Our fishpond here in Saraphi tells me clearly: "more than in an average August". But Chiang Mai is a large province ...

I've got the impression that these are cases of anticipatory obedience of some ISPs. Since the day Germany's largest tabloid, the BILD newspaper, reportet about the redicoulous outfit of a TH VIP at the Munich airport arriving on his own Boing the BILD homepage is blocked by ToT but accessable by TrueMove.
