  1. May I bring this issue back to surface again after 15 months? Now more and more VR clips are offered, even in online newspapers/magazines; would like to try it the cheap way first.
Some advises regarding the fact that I wear glasses?

  2. Have a look here https://goo.gl/maps/TKu7TAS4dQz

The Google pic doesn't look much and unless there's another bicycle shop next door, the farang co-owner of this shop builds up reliable bikes to order.

Can only second this; especially the workshop makes a highly competent impression on me (as a two-wheeler engineer). It's my new favourite bike parts shop now.

For new bikes we prefer Chaithawat due to their wide selection of reasonably equipped and best-priced bikes; bought more than 10 bikes there yet, never disappointed.

  3. Almost every day riding along Alpine Golf Course (25 km SE downtown Chiang Mai) I see the lawn sprinklers over there working without interruption. The forested hills accross the road already turn brownish but the golf lawn looks green like a primary paddy plantation throughout the years.

I wonder whether this request from highest government level to save water will be followed by the Golf Resort at least from now on ...

  4. Does anybody know where to buy 5 ... 10 stevia (Thai pronounciation: satiwia, หญ้าหวาน, ya waan) seedlings in or around Chiang Mai for a reasonable (about 25 THB/each) price?

    Thanks in advance ...

  5. don't be a "digital activist"......look for real answers.

whose coming with me to protest in front of bus company's headquarters??

    crickets

I'ii go with you and anyone else.

Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the bus company yet.

In this regard I can help you, WaiLai: Wiraphan Tour (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.250041251676691.81980.158622717485212&type=1). They are obviously members of the - speaking for itself - bus operators advertizing coop CRAZY BUS THAILAND (in Thai letters) (
    ).

When you plan to protest in front of their headquarter here you find where to go: https://www.facebook.com/pages/วีระพันธ์ทัวร์/306964292746957

Please let us know when you will go.

  6. For that price for the bike on the pic you can hardly make anything wrong.

Let your wife make an extended test ride before you buy it; most important is that she feels really well on it. When I look at the design of the top tube I suggest to make sure she can stand on the ground on both feet with the bike between the legs without having fork contact.

The male crew (sorry ladys ...!)at Anek's (maybe I'm wrong but the pic just looks like it) make an experienced impression to me, and they should be qualified to adjust the bike to the ergonomic needs of your wife as part of the sales service. But she has to speak with them frankly, "kraeng jay" is totally out of place here ...

Wish both of you an always safe ride.

  7. Just came back, and both of us found the location really nice, and the 4 dishes we had remarkably delicious. Even though it's 20 km away from our place we'll come back soon and recommend "The Mountain" without reservation.

  8. Thai drivers do not care about cyclists!

This is simply not true. With almost 50'000 cycled km in Thailand on the clock I assure you that I had only very view situations I found threatening by careless drivers. Thais might not care much about other car drivers and motorcyclists but they care about bicycle riders. A day on a bike in Berlin is several times more dangerous than in downtown Chiang Mai.

  9. Invest in a couple of KMC chain connectors. Super simple and available for particular makes and speeds from Chain Reaction or Wiggle. I should imagine they should be easy enough to get in Thailand given the rise of interest in cycling. Google - KMC link

Had some (brand new) KMC connectors I was not able to close, for some others I needed an angle grinder to open ...

I recommend SRAM master links. Never failed.

  10. 2 bikes were just stolen from members of my MTB group: A Canyon Strive (most probably unique in Thailand) and a black Cannondale S-Works Fully with Lefty fork (also very rare).
In case of detecting one of them please send me a PM and try to find out who the rider is and where he goes ...
    Thanks.

  11. I had mine in Oz earlier this year

    Dies this count

    Or is this Differant ??

According to Wikipedia it seems there is no difference between northern and southern hemisphere currently:

    2015–2016 Northern Hemisphere influenza season

The composition of trivalent virus vaccines for use in the 2015–2016 Northern Hemisphere influenza season recommended by the World Health Organization on February 26, 2015 was:

    • an A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
    • an A/Switzerland/9715293/2013 (H3N2)-like virus
    • a B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus.

The WHO recommends that quadrivalent vaccines containing two influenza B viruses contain the above three viruses and a B/Brisbane/60/2008-like virus.

    2015 Southern Hemisphere influenza season

The composition of virus vaccines for use in the 2015 Southern Hemisphere influenza season recommended by the World Health Organization September 25, 2014 was:

    • an A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
    • an A/Switzerland/9715293/2013 (H3N2)-like virus
    • a B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus

WHO recommended that quadrivalent vaccines containing two influenza B viruses should contain the above three viruses and a B/Brisbane/60/2008-like virus.
