A UK motoring show a few years back did back dino tests comparing different brands of 95 to 91 stuff....
Their conclusion was that the only significant difference came from Shell 95 V Power..
Personally i always use it - its a nat's nakka more expensive than their 91 and i like to think i get a tad more grunt,,,

Driving drunk, with no license, so probably no insurance either then?
Thai, or Expat, that is wrong and deserves punishment.
Everyone needs to wake up and accept you just cant do this anymore.
It is not acceptable behaviour.
Thai insurance policies typically have intoxication clauses - so if you are drunk - they don't cough up....
That said - if he couldn't be ar$ed to get a driving licence - its unlikely that he's purchased 1st class insurance...

Get an EJK and original FMF header pipe and muffler...then you'll really make the bike come alive.
Agree re the airbox mod. Let's the engine breathe easier. A lifetime stainless steel air filter is also available (Sorry can't remember brand).
Its a fun bike but I'm now looking fwd to heading back to NZ and getting my hands on a 2nd hand Aprilia SXV 450. Pity it's getting cold in NZ (Love the Thai weather for riding)....but that means people are dropping asking prices to sell their bikes prior to winter.
Their loss my gain.
Hope you enjoy the 250m
I agree - have had a "jollied up" 250M before (EJK, air box mod, 13T, mega bomb & Q4 FMF pipe) which i bought s/h fully fettled (see pic)....and the performance was stonking....
The guy that fitted the 13T sprocket to my new bike does the EJK's, Mega Bomb and FMF pipe and gave me a quote to supply / fit all three for 20,000 baht out the door ....
Whilst i'd quite like the extra grunt, the main problem is the noise and the fact you can see it has been modified - The Police round Pattaya will use any excuse to stop you and the thought of the 1,000 b a pop fine means i'll leave the bike how it is....
The tyres / 13T sprocket / air box mods are enough to enjoy the bike round the back road twisties - its never going to be the star of the dual carrigdeways, nor is it a long didtance tourer - but i didn't buy it for that...

Grasped the nettle and bought a s/h 250M - rode the bike 75km home on standard sprockets, standard seat and standard IRC tyres....
All three needed changing / fettling.....
First change was to fit a 13T front sprocket (while i was at it removed the air box snorkle and metal screen from the air filter) - Wow what a change for such a small outlay - mid range acceleration greatly improved, bike feels livelier and much more responsive in 6th gear - The air box mods give a nice induction "roar" ...
Second was the seat - local upholstry man cut out a section of the rock hard foam and replaced it with memory foam, recovered and matching twin stitching - a snip at 700 baht....
Then on to the tyres - the standard IRC's didn't inspire much confidence - Went for Pirelli Angel GT's (110 front - went for 140 on the rear which looks a lot chunkier) - 3,500 baht the pair fitted / balanced - The improvement is stonking - feels like you're riding a stunt bike....
Also ordered a new custom set of decals which i'm hoping will be here / fitted next week.....

Sold my M late 2016. Bought a new 2017 L. No M available then. Bought 17's and had them installed from new. Never had the knobbies on the road.
What sprockets you using for road use ?

Here's my ten penny worth....
If you are happy with the bike 2 up and want some improvements to the performance / pulling power and general enjoyment of the bike....
Here's my advice:
Fit 13T front sprocket, remove snorkle from air box and remove metal backfire screen from rear of air filter - Then fit (or get professionally fitted) an EJK (Electronic Jet Kit), plus mega bomb down pipe and FMF rear pipe - You will be staggered with the improvements to the pulling power of the bike.....
Add sticker kit to improve visual look of the bike...
Have the standard seat re-packed with memory foam / then re-covered to improve comfort (standard seat very hard).
If you have the "L" model and use the bike mostly on the road - consider getting a set of "M" model wheels, together with Pirelli Angel GT Tyres - It will then go round the back road twisties like a stunt bike.....
