Do you HAVE to tell your wife that it's over now? Can't you just say you are going off to work in a new job, but you will be back. In that time you can work out if you want the marriage or not How old are you Bob?

Why is there so much trash on the grass verges in Hua Hin

Ridiculous. post ...I never experienced this problem in CM. I never knew there WAS a problem with plastic bags in HH until I got here. I am definatley not here because it's better. It's different. That's all. You can save this post for a newbie trying to change the visa laws....not me, a 20 year resident -

Chiang Mai Air Quality and Pollution
ThaiPauly replied to Cheesekraft's topic in Air Pollution in Thailand
Maybe you were the first person to have a machine to detect it......but I didn't know there were any available in 2004. I didn't even notice any pollution!! You obviously left when the numbers were very low, you could see the numbers going up and opted to save yourselves from it But I don't blame you for leaving..save your life, that's why I left. I have bronchitis as it is , and am sure it would be further agreived in CM -

No it hasn't. Certainly not CM, I moved here in 2004 and don't remember hardly any pollution at all -

Chiang Mai Air Quality and Pollution

For me.....it's not acceptable and to avoid the "if you don't like it move" comments. I have moved. I spent 20 years gradually seeing the situation worsen in CM until it got to last year, the air quality levels were unacceptable to me. I'm retired I don't have to live there ,so I left. I know more who will probably leave in time to avoid next years burning season. What an environmental disaster -
Having recently moved here I am appalled at the ammount of rubbish that is tossed out of cars here. Where I live , near the King's sponsored walking and excercise park it's awful, it's as if everybody accepts that this is where rubbish should be dumped! Now the problem is starting on Soi 88 , in the 5 months I have been here I have seen it deteriorate. My wife has called the correct department, but they would not put her through to K.Nong who is apparently the head rubbish honcho.....she was told that they do not have the manpower to clean it up...they said they put signs up ...the ones that say there is a 2,000 baht fine for fly tipping, but the problems just get worse. They say there is no money for cctv. I already collect a whole bin liner of rubbish from the top of my soi once a week, that gives me enough blisters so I don't want to do anymore. What kind of pressure can we put on the local council to deal with this? If you have seen this mess please let me know. Eventually, this will just get worse as I have seen rubbish everywhere.....but it's not a Thai thing, I never saw anything like this where I previously lived in CM for 20 years. But this is seriously affecting my love for HH

Why would you be so disrespectful to a good friend calling him pathetic.? Seems to me like he had some life challenges. Not really his fault In way I'm glad he is not around to read your comments some good friend eh?

To be fair, your daughter is definatley NOT going to tell you if she is doing drugs...so I would not be so confident

Congratulations I went for a TURP and my results were catastrophic
-
He's right! After I had my TURP operation I have had nothing but trouble.....so much pain, I was taking Oxy ....that's another story...Xylophone is the only guy that knows my story.....but 4 years since the operation to reduce my prostrate size, I am impotent have to wear a diaper all the time because of leakage.....tried yet another op and nearly died from Septasemia, heart failure , renal failure...and this was caused by one of the top hospitals in BKK I should have had rezum , a lot more expensive, but in hindsight I really wish I had......I have spent almost 2m in hospitals here, but things have calmed down, no pain now and I am off Morphine and Methadone. I get the odd UTI now and then but have Monurol for that, but urologists in Thailand's supposedly best hospitals really made a mess of me. Don't have a turp....putting metal inside such a delicate organ is just not a good idea. Good luck

Lawn Bowling Club Will Come To Hua Hin Area Soon
ThaiPauly replied to Shearer9's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am
What on earth happend here.? 9 years ago everything was looking good, then suddenly 9 years without a post!! Obviously no bowling in HH It's a shame, I was in a bowling club in CM and it's a great way for us old 'uns to get some exercise and making friends -
No, I just can't be bothered to try and read this thread...it's taking me more time to navigate through the ads than it is to read the thread....I can find all this on other forums anyway..... The owners want to sell Thai Visa, well good luck with that I hardly visit anymore, when Jonathan Fairfield's company sold TV it was in good condition, Asean only care about advertising revenue not the members of which there are very very few left from the good old days of TV, it was a real community and we socialized regularly, in fact one of my mates is flying in for a visit from NZ , I met this guy almost 20 years ago on this forum and we are best freinds. I hope they do sell it and that the new owners will remember that without people like us they are nothing

Don't forget to get your bank letter the same day if you are going solo...if using an agent you can normally push it. I did that in CM this year and for some reason they did not accept the visa agents offering and made me do it again. First visit to HH Immigration at Bluport to register that I had moved to HH was a pleasant experience. Chiang Mai Immigration is always heaving...I ddnt like it much, which is why I used an agent for the last 5 years, so many ex pats up there now...and they are getting younger. Anyway you have done it now, hope it all went well?

Visa and Passport Return
ThaiPauly replied to ThaiPauly's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Thanks OG -
I am just about to renew my wife' visitor visa to the UK. We have no plans to go at the moment but it will be either a 5 or 10 year one as before. We will be going sometime in the near future I am just not sure when The problem arises that we are moving from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin in just over 4 weeks and they are saying that it takes up to 5 weeks to process a visa. As there is no VFS in HH she would need to make at least one trip to Bangkok to make her biometrics so I would rather do it here where we have a VFS office. I really need to know if they would post the passport to HH instead of having to collect it? Many thanks
