I want to go back to visit my family in the UK but am dreading returning to Thailand. It's been over three years now and my young grandchildren hardly recognise who I am . But coming back to this!!! I'll just have to wait a bit longer, I had planned for later next month but articles like this scare the living daylights out of me.. Very informative article though

Hi Guys Where in Chiang Mai do I get one? They used to do them in a little shop next to immigration at Promenada but immigration is long since gone from there now, so does anybody have any recent experience of obtaining one? I have been to told on this forum in the past that I don't need one if I wish to rent a car in the UK and have a valid Thai DL. But whenever I go back they always ask to see the IDL. Anyway, help would be appreciated Thanks in advance

That's why when I get to the UK ( flying Bangkok Airways from Chiang Mai and back) I will go to Loftus Road and present a letter to Tony Fernandes the owner if AA and QPR and tell him what a <deleted> company he is running and how these scams are costing him..no wonder he is losing Money!!

Well up to you my friend. But you say you got a credit? I cant even get hold of anybody to get that! It's the principle, sure 4,000 baht is not a lot but why should I let them get away with it. They do it to everybody and I will not let it go

Rats chewed through the wiring in my BMW engine while I was on holiday. Cost to have all the wiring replaced, which had to be ordered from Germany was 60,000 baht I sold the car shortly afterwards, I had both BMW's and Mercs in the UK but they are just too expensive for me to run here. Which is a shame.

AA cancelled a flight I was due to take, but getting a refund/credit from them seems an impossible job. I even wrote an e-mail to the owner Tony Fernandes but it was undelivered, he has no e-mail addresses. I went to Chiang Mai Airport to the Air Asia desk but they said because I had booked through their agent Airpaz I had to take it up with them. I pointed out that there was no alternative to booking through Airpaz but this fell on deaf ears. Last night I spent 4 hours trying to deal with it and eventually got to speak online briefly with an agent, who then promptly timed me out after 30 seconds. I keep going through the system, they have my booking details but I cannot get to speak to a HUMAN!! I am not going to let this rest, it's almost 4,000 baht they owe me and will NOT pay me. Does anybody know what my options are short of standing by Air Asia's desk at the airport with a placard claiming they are scammers! Not wanting to return my money is surely fraud?

Had a call from the hospital canceling my appointment for a week I think the doc is having to quarantine for 7 days.

Do you know what the rent is in WS? I know that a reasonable sized bar will be looking at paying 130,000 baht a month along with tea money every three years. I don't believe they would destroy whats there now and loose that income. Right now they are not getting any rent from closed bars, so once they open again the landlords will no doubt be at the door with their hands out.

I didn't know that Celebrex was that dangerous Sheryl as I buy them over the counter. My wife who is still very ill after her spinal operation 2 years ago also takes 2x200mg of Celebrex daily, she is 56. I took one at 7am, so I will not take one at 7pm today. Does this neuropathy problem come and go Sheryl? Is it anything to do with my blood sugar level which is at 159 this morning first time it's been over 100 in a year, so I have to work on bringing it down. It's down to Christmas excess I suppose. I have a 7 year old Captiva. Never had any issues with it only 45,000 k on the clock I intend to run it for years to come as it's value has dropped considerably and it's not worth it to change it unfortunately.

Today I have not had any issues thankfully I have taken two Celebrex 200mg at 12 hour intervals. Not the first time I have done it and it never worked yesterday. However I don't really like taking 2 Celebrex a day or at all as I cannot take my blood thinning tablets with them.(Apolets) I have some Neurontin (Gabapentin) and wonder if I should take them instead prior to seeing my neurologist on Monday?

I had 2 shots of Pfyser in August and I have paid for a booster shot at a hospital in Chiang Mai. I have read that you must wait 6 months after the first 2 Pfyser shots to get the booster. However the hospital insist that I can have it anytime between 3 and 6 months. My wife had Sinopharm and that can definately warrant a booster after 3 months. The vaccine I will be getting is Mordena. I really need a definitive answer as I have to go back to the UK after the shot has had a chance to bed in, but I don't want to cause myself trouble. Thanks in advance.
