  1. Where does this leave all the companies that have set up tax advisory services and already taken money from foreigners to take care of their taxes? What will they do if this whole process is scrapped?
  2. Qui easy to work out his real name Howzat 😆

  5. HI X , good to speak with you again. Did you manage to hang onto your left testis X? I lost mine in August. I was on holiday and asleep one night when I suddenly woke thinking that one of the Koh Chang elephants had kicked me in the balls. Pain was awful. Went to the hospital in the morning and they took one look at the swelling on my left side and sent me to the main Bangkok Hospital in Trat by ambulance. They tried to bring the swelling down with anti biotics but could not do so...then they sent me back to Hua Hin where they tried more anti biotics but they still failed to bring the swelling or infection down so whoosh...out it came, it was huge....but no diagnosis at all, I still don't know it happened or if it related to previous issues So now I am "one ball Paul" and it seems my privates are falling to bits bit by bit....still in diapers, still getting UTI "s
  6. As well as holding the baby he's got a mobile too
  7. She needs to get a good lawyer but as she has no personal wealth, he or she wouod have to be willing to take on the case pro bono
  8. My offshore bank hounded me for my TIN number about 3 years ago. This goes a way to explaining why as I did not understand why it was so important to them at the time Luckily I had a business here about 20 years ago , the clerk managed to find my file at City Hall, CM but it was in a cardboard box in cellar. With many many other boxes...wonder how many others are down there
  9. 5,000 dollars a year????????????
  10. So sorry to hear this...it's an awful disease
  11. My Grandson was in the sea at Sam Roi Et and when he came out he said he felt a nasty tingling sensation all over. I looked into it and it seems that millions of stings fall off the jellyfish in peak season, so it's a double Whammy, if the jfish don't get ya their cast offs will Can anyone confirm this,? I would like to be sure of my facts
  12. I don't feel that people are aware that accessible income means that if you use it to buy a new car if you will be using your accessible income from 2024 income to purchase it. I took this up with GWM as I was considering buying one of their cars, they have no idea and said they woukd check with the revenue department. They emailed me back to say they were checking.....but then never got back to me ! It's really gonna affect us all should we want to buy a car as far as I can see
  13. I moved outta CM as since 2010 the air quality is unacceptable to me .....but the Healthcare is superior with much more choice of hospitals.....(you need 'em to cope with the lung cancer cases that abound in CM.) Did not wanna leave, 20 years invested . Now live in Hua Hin, some pluses, but agree the sea is dreadful and jellyfish abound in great numbers ar some times of the year, just walked on the beach for 5 mins a week ago and saw 2 on the sand very easy to miss and get a nasty sting
  14. I had a TURP 4 years ago which left me with all the complications you mentioned...and then some.
  15. I buy all my meds....a lot on line from Diamond Pharmacy in Bangkok They seem to always have everything I need and are much cheaper than regular pharmacies, they deliver to your door within 2 days, you just send them a line message asking for what you want and how many, they will send you back the prices, you just pay online and that's it. I normally buy 3 or4 months supply at a time Aa an example Bio-flor prebiotic is around 350 in a pharmacy for a box, it's 250 from Diamond . Just Google them for the details
  16. I know a guy who "forgot" to inform the taxman of his changed status. They caught him and he had to return it all plus interest at a high rate. In the UK the taxman usually gets his man. Thailand....not so much ,but the prisons are a lot worse if you are unlucky enough to be caught evading tax I read that it's a year behind bars and a fine Not worth the risk
  17. Only of you are looking at it as a "potential" increase as you are not retired here yet. Otherwise of course our pension is like the British Weather in winter FROZEN
  18. Doesn't help us pensioners living in LOS though does it? Pleased for my 94 year old dad, he will get a bit more.
  19. Very good post You have addressed this very well.it all makes sense
  20. I spoke to the guy in the video. I thought it would be good for me , sure I could pay for 2 years without making a claim....he asked me about my PEC's and said realistically I only had about a 5% chance of being approved. So that's that then
  21. I'm currently watching a video by Siam Legal Thier MD is saying that the TRD just don't have the manpower to enforce anything this year and are likely to postpone everything for another year. They have spent 18 months trying to sort out one person's tax credit!!! Sorry it's off topic but it's interesting
  22. But it won't be long before 2023 is history Then what?
  23. I too have brought many cars in my 21 years here. I'm not babbling ,you are just rude If you bring 2m baht a year into the country you will be taxed. Whatever you buy be it a car a boat or a plane, you will have to do it with money that you have, or are going to pay tax on. So, you will indirectly pay tax for purchasing that car, the dealer is not gonna send you a bill, but you will pay ,just the same
  24. O have actually familiarized myself with this
