Given that all of the "appointees" are military maybe a younger brother could fill this role: Lt-Gen Preecha Chan-ocha?
In other news, General Prayuth appointed himself (more self-nepotism?) to chair the BoI:
Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha will chair a new 18-person Board of Investment which he appointed on Saturday.
Needless to say he appointed all 18 members.

The way to help rice farmers increase their income is to teach them how to increase yield
Meh, They have enough rice for domestic consumption, and there is a bit of a glut on the world commodity markets keeping prices in a range, and downward trend currently. I doubt the answer is to produce more unless you think you can make up a loss on volume?
There have been Royal projects focusing on rice agriculture since 1961. Presumably that's been enough time to jump start and educate?

Give the contract to China and it will be done and on time and safely. I would feel safer knowing the whole thing wasn't "homemade".
You're funny.
You do realize that China's rail boss was tried, convicted and sentenced to death for among other things, corruption?
Boss Rail sentenced to deathA Beijing court has sentenced China's former minister of railways Liu Zhijun to death, with a two-year reprieve, for bribery and abuse of power, China's state media reported on Monday, ending one of the country's highest-profile corruption cases in years. This article about China’s rail boom might be a cautionary tale.LETTER FROM CHINABOSS RAILThe disaster that exposed the underside of the boom.BY EVAN OSNOSOCTOBER 22, 2012On the morning of July 23, 2011, passengers hurried across Beijing South Station at the final call to board bullet train D301, heading south on the world’s largest, fastest, and newest high-speed railway, the Harmony Express. It was bound for Fuzhou, fourteen hundred miles away.Beijing South Station is shaped like a flying saucer, its silvery vaulted ceiling illuminated by skylights. It contains as much steel as the Empire State Building and can handle two hundred and forty million people a year, thirty per cent more than New York’s Penn Station, the busiest stop in America. When Beijing South opened, in 2008, it was the largest station in Asia; then Shanghai stole the crown. In all, some three hundred new stations have been built or revitalized by China’s Railway Ministry, which has nearly as many employees as the civilian workforce of the United States government. -
Thais are smart enough to NOT collectively gatherstheir saving and give it to Farangs (with innocent name like John Deer, etc.).
Correct. They give it to Thais who own the local distribution rights for Deere, Ford, Kubota, Yanmar, etc.
Even though Farangs do their best to maintain buffalo health here, most (buffalo) are being replaced with tractors (Farangs can be replaced with ATMs).
And you can look forward to "tractor racing" in the future instead of buffalo racing.

Maybe simplest to jump on-line ~ 8:00 PM, and Google Roland Garros (or French Open) Live Stream ? And then make your way through the various options?
There may even be a YouTube option?
This site has been mentioned in the hundreds of similar (live sports streaming) threads here over the years: http://www.wiziwig.tv/?part=sports

A dual track system, especially between major industrial areas, will make rail transport much more efficient.
Perhaps in a different country, with unlimited budget, and 50 years.
Unfortunately, the plan under discussion does not address any of your "ideas". It is not meant to address "industrial areas", nor will it necessarily make rail transport more efficient.

Waste of time.
According to Thai officials, foreigners cannot comprehend the complexity and issues unique to Thailand - maybe because the biggest issue(s) cannot be publicly discussed.
Deputy army spokesman Col. Weerachon Sukondhapatipak said the clampdown was necessary because “if you let people talk at the moment, they will talk with emotion, they will be very critical.”

Maybe best to pay some farmers Not to grow via a direct subsidy, for a season? Maybe on some sort of rotation basis? Meant to match supply to demand. Saves the expense (seed, water, fertilizer, labor), more efficient use of resources (water), less fertilizer run-off, re-invigorate the soil.

What a scam.
Maybe best to try TrueMove H or AIS? Both have better affiliated WiFi (True WiFi, 3BB WiFi respectively) services which might help you off-load some of your volume.
I doubt that you will find a FuP of 128 Kbps anymore acceptable than 64 Kbps.
Agreed 4G is limited but so far I've found it to be quite good.

Assuming you can roam wherever you are:

Otherwise contact DTAC and ask if they can help: [email protected]
Or just ask someone in Thailand to pop round a machine and add a few top-ups for you.

The FuP on the 399 plan (was 1 GB, now is 1.5 GB, but with a double up promo so 3 GB for 6 months) moved around fro 384 Kbps to 128 Kbps to 64 Kbps, now back up to 128 Kbps.
Maybe best to cancel and re-subscribe to get the 3 GB?

I just moved to post-paid so 3 GB *FuP: 384 Kbps)/550 minutes + 4 GB of 4G (over four months) + unlimited WiFi (at insane speeds: 27 Mbps x 23 Mbps) all for 499 baht.

There's been a gazillion threads on this, but my basic understanding is that some 22 of the 64 matches will be shown on Thai free over the air TV (Channel 7 maybe?), including the final, and the remainder will be shown via the private set-top box service offered by RS.
Not sure if England matches might be deemed a premium draw/match, and thus reserved for the private RS service?
There may be other satellite and streaming services available?
I think the three England matches start at 05:00, 02:00 and 23:00 local Thailand times.

It's weird. The Military can take over the country, and run everything: economy, education, transport, foreign affairs, etc., but they can't stop the drug trade. For this vital effort they slough it off onto the RTP which they've already deemed corrupt, incompetent and in need of total reform.
Go figure.
Maybe put the RTP in charge of reining in the insurgents in the troubled south? Dealing with those pesky Cambodians at Phra Vihear?

100bht is enough to cook 5 chicken curries with potato, onions and carrots.
Cook once, keep in the fridge and re-heat as requited.
Microwave doesn't cast much.
You should have your own cooking show, you could call it "Rachel Roi".
Hopefully you've got more than that one Chicken Curry recipe?

I've seen many, many, many, many formal, public proclamations by private/gov't types here a la "Thailand plans to become the hub of ___________."
I can't ever recall "foreign entrepreneurs" being one of the countless "Hub" goals?
In fact, how many countries actually encourage/welcome foreigner entrepreneurs these days, other than say the U.S.A.?
-
Look out. Suddenly a lot of blokes in this country are going to actually have to earn their money.
Yep. ~ 300,000 active duty Military types.

However, he pointed out that the general was required by law to declare his assets to the NACC because he was a senior military officer.
Yeah, let us know how that works out.

But you can minimize the police corruption and clean it up. The Thai army should also crackdown on human trafficking that would restore a lot of happiness.
That would mean the Army would be cracking down on the Navy.
Maybe best not confuse the simple folk by revealing that corruption doesn't somehow end with the Military.
Police bad, Army good.

"If you tell anyone who this tweet is from we'll have to kill you."
"Just kidding, how about some 'enhanced interrogation' ? "
Seriously though, why the <deleted> does the CIA need a Twitter feed?

Decriminalization in Portugal over the past ~ 12 years has been viewed as generally positive.
But we all know Thailand is unique, and only native solutions will be acceptable here.

Retail chains peg their food items at 35 to 40 baht
Given that they'll have to shrink the portion sizes, maybe include free eye glasses with each purchase?
Or just use smaller plates, forks and spoons.
The wholesale price of most basic commodities is tightly controlled/monitored throughout the country, including eggs - there are many different types/sizes, pork, chicken, et al.

Suicide.
Next cadaver.

Fill/build more jails to incarcerate all the lowest level dealers/users, but never, ever go after the big fish. Gotta think the Military has eyes and ears on the borders/rivers/coastline - they are tasked with defending the country from external threats - not just internal ones, but maybe...oh, never mind. They can do no wrong at present.
And, I thought that the RTP needed to be "reformed"? Did that happen with all those re-assignments?
Tourist areas greet lifting of curfew

Hoteliers in Hua Hin and Cha-am welcomed the lifting of the curfew in tourist areas,
as did both tourists.
