  1. Hands up, muthasticker! This is a fukc-up!"
  2. Genders, pronouns and wow! -Locations all over the place in this one:
  3. Thailand has an actual 'vineyard' just out of Rayong province, called "Silverlake" , producing basically cooking wine at extortionate prices. Given that the heat and humidity here does not produce anything near a decent wine grape, this place (owned by some Thai billionaire elite) serves the illusion that Thailand has it's own "wine industry" that needs protection against evil foreign competition. I think there are other vineyards scattered around Thailand doing the same thing. If any of them manage to produce anything of note, please update.
  4. I think someone mis-heard "Piss-taker" as "Peacemaker" ?
  5. Yep, it's through tax avoidance, and getting in on the Globalists "woke" agenda bandwagon. Howard Schultz is a big player in the World Economic Forum abomination. I couldn't give a <deleted> about their coffee. https://www.callaccountant.co.uk/blog/how-did-starbucks-manage-with-paying-zero-uk-corporation-tax-to-hmrc/ https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/tomgara/go-back-to-davos
  6. Yep, got a 'belt' on Tuesday, installing a new water heater in my bathroom. Wish I'd posted on social media now.
  7. All just a BS ruse to introduce financial slavery via a digital currency that exists on a bank's computer screen only, and not in a 'customer's' pocket.
  8. Agree. Queue the usual hand-wringing anytime some Globalist org points out Thailand's appalling road-accident stats, usually before New Year or Songkran holidays, then back to the usual business of not giving a toss or enforcing existing road rules. The 'pre-ordained' mindset of the people here, leaving their fate up to whoever and not taking responsibility plus easy credit to buy cars and bikes means that Thailand's yearly loss of lives on the roads is just basically an unemployment solution.
  9. Correct, right from corrupt pillock Tedros (WHO President) downwards. Unfortunately, they (like those other Globalist acronyms) seem to be ever expanding their pernicious influence over sovereign nations.
  10. Yep. Difficult to time your 'run' flipping towards the centrefold, sometimes. Losing control of the pages could mean blowing your wad over the "Exchange & Mart" section.
  11. Yep, Damian pushes the boundaries with some 'challenging' stuff. Was recently viewing some of his recent work at Yorkshire Sculpture Park last trip home.
  12. There are quite a few mobile rotisserie chicken units up and down Banchang. They change location quite often depending on where they can get the most customers / time of day, etc. There is now a fixed location for BBQ chicken to go at the restaurant at the bottom of Payoon Rd, 50m before before Beach Rd intersection, just opposite the Wat. (Same location that the OP's mobile vendor was located).
  13. Always been the norm here. I remember first arrived 30 years ago, and you heard Thais muttering about "AIDS" when a foreigner walked past. It's just how the domestic population is kept in check and poor, by their 'leaders' blaming all Thailand's ills on outside influences and loose Western morals, etc. It's maybe even worse now as the once vibrant and relatively free Thai press and media has been taken over by military and Govt influence since the last coup.
  14. Thai-Chinese don't eat beef much at all. They think it's disrespectful and a sin to eat the cows that plough fields, rice paddy, etc. My Thai-Chinese manager at work only ever eats pork chops on the menu when he travels to UK and Europe.
  15. Subsequent ordering food and shopping online has massively increased plastic use and garbage generally. You can see it at the side of just about every road here now, ubiquitous discarded plastic bags, and masks... lots of masks, sometimes plastic bags full of the disgusting things.
  16. The voice of "reason". Sounds more like the voice of a scare-mongering stake-holder.
  17. This muppet (progeny of Squarehead) now being mooted as Thailand's next PM, according to Pheu Thai's secretary general. Confirming what everyone knew already, that Srettha is just a lame duck avatar of Thaksin, and that PT are the antithesis of democracy.
  18. A lot of countries around the world have seen an alarming decrease in male sperm production in recent years. Thailand obviously no different. Different reasons cited, such as diet, exposure to pollutants , and even high cell phone use mooted as cause.
  19. I would imagine it reduces the quality, freshness, and any type of stringency checks regarding hygiene, contamination and danger to the consumer. Caveat emptor.
