  1. Or he will have a luxury life like Imelda Marcos and can practically go and stay where he wants, in the meanwhile building new power with success...

I really believe he will come back in power because they allways choose the easy way here to get rid of more trouble, same a builder/carpenter who leaves you with lots of trouble.

  2. You might try contacting ONSMOOTH-THAI CO.,LTD. 153 MOO7, 3RD, RING RD., T.THAWANGTARN, A.SARAPEE, They make all sorts of neoprene wear.

Also the Book Of What, Where and How has some more shops that sell material similar to the one near the train station, including a larger shop in Sakamphang.

    Thanks !

That first address where is it ?

Not sure, is it this here ? Goog gives confusing information, is Oki Precision the same company ?

Book Of What never heard of, where to find those ?

  3. Somebody knows where to buy neoprene ? (used for wetsuits/notebook bags/mousemats etc.) a double layer of polyester stretch fabric with a foamlayer inbetween.

Already tried the shop 200m west of the trainstation where they sell all kinds of foam, rubber, plastic etc. but they only have a very cheap quality and rediculously overpriced too.

    Any shops/wholesales in CM I don't know of ?

  5. I love the food and the relaxed way of life. I like being able to slip a couple of hundred to the traffic police for some minor traffic infringement. I like being able to get motorcycle taxis and normal taxis without taking a mortgage. I like the (normal Thai) massages. I like that it's (fairly) cheap to live. I love the family values.

I miss quality... in almost everything! Hire a Thai to do something and you can guarantee you will regret not doing it yourself! sick of buying crap that falls apart. I hate the way Thais are so wasteful of everything, from water to toys, minimal care is taken to preserve anything.

I miss a cool breeze, I miss decent wine (at reasonable prices), I miss a decent choice of cars to buy, I miss intelligent conversation, I miss humour, I miss decent internet, mobile phone coverage. I miss a garden.

To be honest, I could solve a lot of these things by living on a mountain near Chiang Mai and starting a vinyard and importing teachers, builders, plumbers and carpenters from Europe. Sounds like I should start a cult!

Agree with everything except that I dislike the family values here that I think are of insane level.

Don't care about phone coverage and my internet is good enough, but lack of quality is a big annoyance here yes.

But most I hate the Chiangmai ringroads and city traffic that, when driving a motorbike inbetween those total dumbos usually makes me feel so negative and frustrated that I wonder if such negativism could cause cancer. However I luckily no need to be in that rotten city too often.

If you hook a Lisu girl you can live in the real moutains for free (the cool-breezed Lisu reserve that is not accessible for normal Thais !!!!) and start a cult that's a good idea yes !

Tell me more about your starting-a-cult ideas plz ?

    :)

  6. Serious ? Wow !

EU-Thai friends of me east of Pattaya have a waterwell drilling equipment, but no idea where you live.

PM me if you need a phone number, at least he can tell you the true prices to avoid being ripped by a local who takes advantage.

  7. I second that - try to get a lower bunk. Not only are the top ones harder to get in and out of in the middle of the night, but they're also smaller.

A lower is pretty noisy because you sleep next to a more or less open window, you're glad when you brought earplugs, but is less hot, even cold and the bed is about 20cm wider.

An upper has less noise, is more hot and you need to be physically able to do the climb, if you're sleepy you might get your hair stucked in the ventilator :D

1st class s*cks, gives a very locked up and abandoned feeling and you will have to inhalate the farts of your cabin mate, bigger chance of lugguage theft when you leave for a walk. 3rd class is torture for your back and ears you will feel broken for 3 days.

Don't order a meal from your seat, instead take the interesting jungle walk to the restaurant (usually the second car in front) thats a real funky place to spend an hour or all nite, for the first time it will be a remarkable experience. Food is aroi and mai peng, sometimes the restaurant turnes into a karaoke party. (but a while ago they reduced the noise of the music due to complaints)

It gives me a kick to take a shaky shower in the early hours, you arrive completely fresh ! Look for the showerroom usually opposite a toilet. Check if there is enough water before you soap yourself :)

  8. Great. A very S T R O N G message needs to be sent out about any crimes of violence against women and children. Simple.

The biggest child abusers are still locals, more then 99% !

Most underage girls who go work in the bar have been deflowered already by elder brother or dad, thats 'very normal' here.

Who is teaching about good morals to who again ?

New guidelines to punish foreign paedophilia suspects

    Aha.... Double standards !

Why ? Locals will not receive the same punishment because... ????????

  9. You could try to talk directly with EVA Air in Amsterdam, few times I needed they gave excellent service to me. +31204466280

Once I was in a hospital and my returnflight ASD-BKK expired but they gave me a new one for free, they (can affort to) go much further the the regular booking agencies.
