  1. Now hold on a minute here.....where is the wallet??? and where is the money?... and where are the valuables?

Also check the drinks and used bottles of water or beer or alcohol or used  glasses with liquid residue for any traces of knock out drug known to cause heart attacks.

Just saying ...but I know the police there will not do a proper investigation to confirm the cause of death rather just write up a basic report and have the body removed and off they go for their next meal of Som Tum...as usual

    Cheers

  2. OH Well....I guess that is about the best the Nations police can do really.....nab the little guys while the big money guys are always seemingly immune to any real law enforcement.

Sure we read about theses power brokers being exposed for their crimes and malfeasance and corruption but seldom do any of them serve time.....

Once in awhile a big player goes down and leaves a temporary vacuum quickly filled by another opportunistic person of high rank or importance on some level.

Just have to live with that fact while living here in Thailand.

    What to do...What to do?

    Cheers

Didn’t need to get all these so so clever people together could have just asked my granddaughter she could have told them Bangkok roads designed for a maximum of 4 million cars and now over 7 million cars on the Bangkok roads a heavier tax to keep the number of vehicles down for the poor people, and a test or inspection every year for cars older than two years and any failures just crush them get the old scrap cars off the road, no need to set up police checks or tea money collection points, just install cameras all over the roads and on traffic lights to catch the red light jumpers fines issued by computer to car owner non-payments or multi fines cars impounded and crushed after 60 days non-payment.

There are no criminals amongst Thais. Yeah.

Oh they know that...but they all agree with one another rather than having a logical opposing view while they will also agree that all foreigners are bad if they are done wrong by say, one foreigner........Or the crimes committed by foreigners are much worse and need to be scrutinized more so  ...as is the Collective Thai mentality regarding foreigners ............Not all, but far too many....

Farang My Dee ...Kohn Thai Dee....Chai My ??.........lol

  5. Who is William Peter Johnson ????

A man in a whole lot of trouble while who ever he his, real name or not, he probably thought he could get away with his activities and never be detected or caught out for his involvement in such nefarious enterprises while he is probably mistakenly thinking he can buy his way out of his involvement in such heinous criminal activities.

This one is real Juicy, and intriguing, while I hope ( Prey to Buddha ) the police and the media hound dogs thoroughly follow up on this case and continue to supply us with all the relevant details while we may learn there is far more to it than meets the eye....but lets learn what develops with this seeming bizarre case.

  6. That had to be a good and proper bacterial infection for all the kids to fall ill so rapidly.

The foods supplier is more than likely a small enterprise vendor and difficult to hold that person or company liable as the meat or other possibly contaminated ingredients were bought from various suppliers while none of them would be aware that their particular ingredient was / is contaminated ...until now.

The health authorities have to be diligent and trace back to the various food suppliers involved and test the various ingredients bought from the numerous supply chain vendors.

That and they have to check just how bacterial free or not bacterial free the meal suppliers working environment is and know if the food ingredients were not contaminated rather the cooking and food preparation environment is where the contamination is to be found...which is often the case.

    http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/food-poisoning/food-poisoning#1

Food contamination is not near as widespread as it once was while many people are not aware of just how precarious it was to eat what is / was considered All Natural Food, back in the day.

Millions of people died from a number of bacterial infections contracted by way of simply feeding yourself while each meal could be your last ...so to speak.

Now a days we hardly think about that particular problem but sometimes food poisoning ( words used to describe in general the effects of food or consumed water born infections ) does occur while we have the means to stop the out breaks of sometimes deadly food born bacterial infections...fortunately.

Still around the world and more so in poor countries and or under very unhygienic conditions several hundred thousand people a year die of the various and numerous kinds of bacterial infection classified under  "Food Poising"

    http://www.who.int/mediacentre/news/releases/2015/foodborne-disease-estimates/en/

One way to stop intestinal growth based food born infections is to consume Probiotic supplements.

  7. The traffic in Bangkok has always been bad.

30 years ago it was bad and now there are more cars and more roads but never enough road space relative to the amount of cars on the road.....

    Hmmm......Same problem as other countries....l

Is that some sort of a coincidence...lol

Meantime, the Auto sector of the Thai economy is a significant factor and revenue earner so they are NOT going to be curbing the sale of cars anytime soon rather want more car sales while Thailand is said ( who said?  ) to now be an automotive/  car manufacturing / assembly Hub.

Also the Thais are really eager to buy a new care ( they are reluctant to buy used cars ) while I suppose a new car for them is like a new car for everyone ...a personal sort of satisfaction letting the world know they have arrived in their car, rather than walk or take a taxi....and poor no longer...lol

Silly thinking in some respects, but  all part of mass consumerism needed to drive the economy.

Meantime, I do not drive.......Rather I like to be chauffeured around in Taxi Cab Luxury while I have several new Thai Chauffer's per day drive me around to where ever I ask my Thai Chauffer's to take me.

Yes sir.....Just one of the unique luxuries amongst many luxuries while living here in Bangkok.

Typical. No consideration of what the little thugs did to the farangs car.

    Thai justice strikes again

Well...lets assume they have the money to easily pay their way out and just paid to get it over with.

However if they are as tough as they think they are, or supposedly are, I would like to see them not pay one  baht and call it even, as it is clear now that both parties did damage...so both parties are even.

I surmise the bikers do not want any more heat or scrutiny concerning their "Biker' activities so better to pay and move on and reminisce about the beating they laid on the insolent little twerps...lol

yes follow the due process for which laws have been made. best not to take the law into own hands. always results in problems.

You have a very good point there.....so why did the Thai kids not follow that good advice and go to the Police and report a hit and run and let the Thai police handle it.

According to the full report the kids chased after the vehicle and retaliated ...and then the fight broke out and they learned their opponents are Farang Bikers ...surprise, surprise .....and they are not afraid of the law and not afraid to lay a beating on some Thai kids....Thai Style...... as you can clearly see in the Video.

I do not condone the violence ...but they should have taken the matter to the Police and reported the vehicle number and let due process take its course.....while they made matters worse ..not better

Anyhow ...all of them will now be held accountable while both parties were wrong.....so, 20 lashes to the backside for all of them

    Cheers

of course it is abnormal behaviour. in a country with establish judicial process how can anyone take the law in his own hand.

Your may be right, in some respects....but this is Thailand ..so sometimes the Thai Way is what works best, regardless of the laws.

I surmise the Bikers were thinking they will get no meaningful assistance from the police if they went to the Thai Police with their Farang grievances....which we all know are ignored 95% of the time

According to the other news clips the Kids were retaliating and doing damage to the vehicle that did damage to their bike ...and then the video fight is seen and one kid was beat upon...Thai style.

The kid got beat up and chased off ...no big deal...nothing to get worked up about...lol

But you may see it differently.....while most people are not overly concerned about a fight between some bikers and some Thai kids.

Not the end of the world

    Cheers

  11. Not good really...in the long run, as the publicity is not good for the rest of the foreigners living here....as in you and I.

Meantime ...The 3 Farangs, seen laying a beating on the Thai kid, did so exactly the same way the Thais go about beating on one another...or foreigners for that matter...so what is all the big fuss about and should not be considered unfair or abnormal behavior or a special case needing special attention...correct?...lol

Another example of a Thai man with no judgement at all !

And thinks he can justify it by coming out with the old chestnut 'he speak bad about my parents '

lock him up for 20 years to and advertise the fact as a possible deterrent !    But probably a waste of time as most Thai men seem capable of this type of thing at the slightest provocation !

Commonly, in heated arguments amongst Thai people they will say something bad about one or both of their opponents parents....and that does enrage the average Thai man...as they have this developed mentality that you can curse them ...but not their parents...especially their Mother.

By no means does that warrant a brutal and continuous beating and kicks to the head of course ......but, if you want to see an argument escalate into violence then a few choice and chosen words about their Mother or Father or both parents will often result in Blind Rage...such is their developed cultural mentality concerning their Parents.

  13. Just put her in a regular Thai school and she will learn fast enough as she will more or less be forced to learn while she will be the somewhat special kid that can speak English and all the other children will learn "some" English while the teacher will more than likely appreciate your daughters ability to help the other children learn some English........

She could charge for English lessons...lol...20 baht per child for 30 minute sessions....lol...and learn about being an entrepreneur.

  14. This should be no surprise.

If foreign Thai based Journalists are going to expose the wrong doings of Thai people or Thai companies or the Thai governments and Thai politicians with wealth and power and influence and the means and ways to legally and or underhandedly stifle the criticisms of those that expose their various forms of malfeasance then journalist have to be far more savvy as compared to the way they go about exposing them with journalistic "frontal assaults"

What did they think was going to happen after they internationally exposed and publically accused a Thai company of a number of wrong doings and crimes.

They published damaging accusations while they did their job well and got paid for it and then they thought what ???.....it would all be over ...job done...now move on to the next issue at hand here.....and lets say we publicly criticize and shame and expose the malfeasance of the current Thai government while our man in Thailand, Andy Hall ( and Andrew Drummond)  will sign their names to the public criticisms and public shaming and take the lead role in this journalistic endeavor.

You would think after all these years here in Thailand that they would do what needs to be done but do it with a well orchestrated plan that includes the means and ways of avoiding been hauled into a Kangaroo Court and sentenced in the manner we are witnessing.

Seriously......what were they thinking would happen while it seems they had no plan or any means and or ways or resources to be applied to avoid this from happening while they more or less let it happen to themselves in that regard seemingly believing that the truth and justice will prevail here in Thailand......lol

It is another fine example where if you are going to attack a person or company you do not just walk up to them with a knife in hand to confront them when they are armed with a tank.

Best to have a much more clever and or intelligent plan on how to assault a tank and walk away unscathed.

  15. I would surmise that the wife did not live up to her part of the bargain / agreement while at some point tried to claim that the company was hers and control the company when the original agreement was that she is a silent 51 % and needed only to comply with the Thai company laws.

It would not be the first time a Thai wife of a foreigner tried to manipulate a foreigner established / foreigner funded  company and its shares and the financials such that the wife ended up with everything.

I think I can speak for everyone here as we would all like to hear the mans side of the story and decide for ourselves who is lying and who is telling the truth.

  16. Geez...I wonder how many of them will be busted for drug possession.

Not many I hope but still they keep on coming and come with the attitude that consuming the drugs is freely accepted or tolerated by the locals and the local Authorities...or maybe the dangers involved are part of the full moon party thrills and adventures.

The police are probably rubbing their hands together contemplating how much money they can make off of drug busts "this time, this year"

many a time it is the wrong association with bad elements that can get a person into trouble as wrong  peer pressure has a way of pushing people deeper into problems.

Yes sir....you more or less nailed it as to the contentious social problems created by recreational drug use.

The drugs themselves are only a part of the problem while the main problem is the people that are doing the drugs while commonly ( as in not all but all too many ) they are more nefarious than just being drug users.

Often they are well suited for recreational drug use and commonly of the criminal mentality and the Ya-Hoo, Party Hardy types.

Back in the day I did my fair share of partying and recreational drugs but I eventually grew wise and faded away from the drug consumption culture and party hardy scene and not because of the drugs so much rather I realized that all too many of the people I befriended or they were befriending me or people I encountered and or hanging around with were, all too often,  borderline criminal types with attitude that was going to get them in trouble with the law and or other people for more than just drugs.

Theft, Breaking and Entering, Trespassing, Trafficking in Narcotics, Assault, Drinking and Driving, Fencing Stolen Goods, Illegal Firearms, Growing Marijuana and Selling Marijuana, Tax Evasion, Car Theft, Motorcycle Gang Members and other Street Gang members associated with numerous illegal activities including Murder and extortion and racketeering and prostitution and rape and the list goes on and on......

I began to scrutinize who exactly I was often indirectly involved with and what I was associated with or complicit with relative to all that was entailed in my alcohol and recreational drug fueled, party hardy adventures.

I actually began to question just how did the marijuana that I was smoking and holding in my hand come to be and how there was a good possibility that the joint I was smoking or other recreational drug I was consuming could easy be associated with other peoples death or murder and bloodshed or social misery caused by the wide spread supply and consumption of recreational dugs ...legal or illegal.......while I woke up to the fact that recreational drugs are for losers and told myself I was being a loser.....although I do not really think of the users as losers in that specific way.

However,  during my drug consuming career I sure did meet a lot of people that were perfectly suited for the word losers while their mentalities and attitudes were well suited to be life long druggies and stoners and addicts and criminal types of varying capacity....so, in effect, I faded away from the people involved in drug supply and drug consumption more so than the drugs while I know I am way better off without those sorts of people in my life...and the drugs also.....of course.

I did have a good time and lots of good stoner memories to reminisce upon but I realized then and now how I could have been one of the casualties of the drug consumption culture and that I have no doubt about...as I could have been one of them by way of associating with them.

So yes, absolutely, the people you do your drugs with are a big factor in a persons possible demise if they continue to participate in the drug consumption culture and continue associating with the many other drug consuming people who become your circle of drug consuming buddies and all that is entailed.
