I ordered mine the very end of Feb. They are only making 400 BT-50 Pro 3.2 4x4 for Thailand a year. I have had my 3.2 4x4 for two weeks, within the first week I have noticed heavy rust on front end suspension nuts. I will take pictures tomorrow.

Any photos mate?

My truck is now over 2 months old with 5km and 700km from the sea, here are some examples of the rust on the nuts. Anyone else?

Are all bt50's / rangers having this problem? What's up with those nuts? Not rustproofed?

I just hate these "crackdowns" that are so popular in Thailand. Do some proper policing. Go out on patrol & stop the idiots you see. I guess the BiB don't even notice a traffic violation when it's right in front of them. How many times do you see them leaving a M/C helmet crackdown checkpoint, on their M/C without a helmet......

The left turn from HWY 107 at Khi Lek can be hard to find so here is a photo of that small intersection. This whole inside the trail head is loaded with single track.

A gem of wisdom.. doctors kill more people then drink drivers. First off doctors are there to save people and in doing so they sometimes make a mistake. I am pretty sure that more people would be dead if doctors did nothing. How can anyone with half an IQ make such a remark.

Come on guys try to defend that remark, id love to see you guys try. Im not going into drunk driving the morality im now just focusing on this stupid remark.

I was referring to ALL your previous posts on this matter, this thread & another. I'm much more concerned about the appalling standard of driving by sober drivers in Thailand, especially in daylight hours when I drive my kids to school. The Bib need to focus on this, catching the freaking idiots weaving in & out of traffic to gain a few car lengths, the red light jumpers, the speed freaks, the pillocks that pull out without looking, the corner cutters etc etc. The list goes on & on & on & on, pretty much like you on the had a few drinks drivers. You're like a stuck record. Comprendez?

What are you talking about Eco car has same battery as any other.

What are you talking about, Eco battries are Larger than normal which means more Mining/Contamination. Also will have a big impact on Energy grid, more Pollution. Batteries in the eco cars are the same as any other cars. Don't confuse them with batteries used in hybrid cars such as the camry and prius.

Aren't eco cars in Thailand those flimsy looking rollerskates with aircon, like the Mitsu Mirage, Mazda 2 etc. Eco, as in economical on the wallet? Until they hit a typical Thai pothole

Thanks! It sounds like 2 cars collided and a third car, driven by a drunk driver, tried to avoid them and went into the moat. It says the driver was taken to the hospital. Not sure what they were diving for then.

Anyone got any tips on making pickups not so bumpy?

I love the Ford, but as most pickups, its quite a bumpy ride, I heard putting 200 sandbags at the back will help, but I think there must be another way.

If not, I will just have to get used to it.

Maybe the recommended tyre pressures for the Ranger are too high for "normal load" if you're carrying nothing. 35psi. My Strada recommends 29psi for normal load.

Or you could trade the Ranger in for a Fiesta. Excellent city run around. AND comes in your favourite colour

Someone has to pay for all the free electricity given to the less wealthy (or lower consumers) over the past few years.

Personally, I think it has been a good thing (the free electricity for low consumers) and has helped poorer people cope with the rise in gasoline/food/beer prices.

I know of one police capitain who was pulled over and charged with DUI following a party at a hotel that is near and dear to my heart, he recieved a fine of 9,500 baht and that was all.

I heard of a foreigner (friend of a friend - really) who was approached by police after he got into his car to drive home. They were watching him after he left the bar. Only just over the limit, so a night in the slammer & 9,500 bt fine.

Well there is 60K bath diff on 2.2L 2wd XLT/WT on the latest price list I got and for that you get: voice control, blue-tooth (Ungabunga showed me how he can play his phones music via that), UBS conn, Auto wiper/light(not sure I like that feature). Bed liner, crash bar, leather seats forward and you can get it in chill color which I like (also like the blue color on xlt). I think 60k bath is a good deal on that.

I have an XLT. The USB would be nice. On the wildtrak, the bed liner, for some strange reason doesn't cover the edge of the tail gate, so that'll get scratched. The grill & door handles come in cheap looking black finish. "Sports bar", roof bars & bed rails look naff. auto wiper / lights is on the XLT. And the folk who think the dull burnt orange colour looks good, prove the success of marketing. Absolutely nothing like the brochure photos. JMHO
