What does Police Lieutenant Colonel Sudej Imjai mean by that "it was an isolated instance"? Is he implying that they have evidence that the GBP9,782 was transferred to one of the phones or both. With the cctv footage, it should be a close and shut case. The suspects said that nothig happened but by the miracle of digital technology the money found it's way into their mobile phones (smile).

I suspect he is saying that it was a one off heist on an impulse rather than a syndicate specializing in crypto heists as a profession.

But I’m just reading between the lines of what he said.

I imagine that they have at least some evidence, since they have arrest warrants for both suspects.

There's no bank involved with a crypto transaction if it's not converted to fiat currency. It's decentralised as long as it runs on the blockchain.

That's obviously not a very smart thing to do. This kind of thing has been reported before, brag about your crypto with the wrong crowd and they may give you an "incentive" to transfer it to them.
