Laughing can be one reaction when a Thai person is stressed or in a bad situation. It's not the laughing that we are accustomed to but a cultural reaction.its not laughing as in funny haha.

I've seen them 'laugh' when talking about the death of a loved one.

So a foreign influencer offering no benefit to Thailand whatsoever, regarding tax and SS and it's the hospitals fault???...did she have insurance, did she have a license, did she wear a helmet was she speeding??? Too many variables but to blame the caring people that are trying to save someone's life is disgusting.

Thai's often laugh when performing a job incorrectly, when there has been a problem that arises due to incompetence or similar.

It's something I dislike but it is a Thai/Asian thing

Their work ethic is what keeps me employed in the offshore industry, professional supervision required

Influencers are really good. I have my own version ..my wfe and when she gets in a reall cranky menopause mood and starts to annoy me that influences me to make a decision to get down to the pub to get away from her until she cools down.

Was she experienced in riding a motorbike?

Was she sober?

Was the truck driver sober?

Was the truck driver driving in a sensible manner?

I've ridden motorcycles/scooters in Thailand for many years, the things I've learned are; drive VERY defensively, expect other drivers to do the unexpected, and keep your head on a swivel. You have to think about ALL the things that could happen, from drivers not paying attention, to dogs running out in front of you, to low hanging cables, etc, the list is too extensive to list all, but you get the idea. Defensive driving/riding is the key over here. Stay safe out there!

Usually they are on special vitamins like steroids, HGH, EPO, Peptides, Testosterone, etc. and have lots tattoos. The women are feminine and docile like the Incredible Hulk. Sometimes the pitch of their voice might sound a little like a horse trying to say he is hungry.

Sixteen years ago, I was in a waiting room in an American hospital, doubled over with severe abdominal pain, and was told by a nurse to sit and wait for an orderly to take me to an exam room. She then continued her phone conversation, giggling incessantly and showing complete indifference to my condition.

About fifty years ago, I was lying on a gurney in severe pain in a San Francisco emergency clinic, being treated by a Czech doctor, when an American doctor walked in, struck up a conversation, and started laughing about something. Needless to say, I felt like slugging the guy.

That said, when I needed emergency care for my injured right hand last May, I went to a Thai hospital and could not have received better treatment anywhere in the world. In fact, all of my experiences with Thai medical professionals have been positive.

Always find it amusing when Americans who can't afford healthcare back home rave about how cheap and wonderful the Thai system is.

If I were paying $10,000 for Pad Thai back home versus $2 for Thai street slop here I'd probably be singing the praises of that $2 slop too.

For years they didnt spot me on my scooter in Bangkok and phuket. I often dressed the same as grabman or a typical Thai. No skin showing and a full helmet with sun visor. Gloves pants and a hoodie as well.

Waved through many a check point.

When will foreigners learn ? Thailand has the highest death toll in the world with some of the most dangerous roads. Sad to die so young. Feel sorry for her parents and family.
