Hi..

My next visa run will be the last on my non-o visa, I have done 3 visa runs 2 by air and 1 by land.

So, I am wondering is it possible to do another land crossing border visa run?   Also incase I am stamped to the final date should I stick to it or to the visa expiration date on my passport.

Appreciate any input.

You can do it by land if you want to. There is no restriction on number of entries you can do with a valid visa for entry.

As long as you enter on or before the enter before date on your visa you will get a 90 day entry.

What about the 90 day entry because it says enter before 2 Jan 2018 and surely my next visa run is due to 8 Oct 2017.   So, should I leave Thailand before enter date or I can stay until 8 Jan 2018 as will be stamped by immigration?

Ah ok as to your second question

So your asking if your final crossing for the 90 days goes past your Visa experation date (making it the last one ) could i not worry about that & go for another boarder crossing just before experation date of Visa since you may have only done ? 75 days before Visa experation date

I think you can as from what I have read so therefor you would get another 90 days & if it's a marriage you can also apply for a 60 day ext at the end of that

You will need leave and re-enter on or before October 8th to get another 90 day entry. Then you could do another one on or before January 2nd 2018.

Visa : used when entering Thailand. Does not have any influence on when you must leave. You can use the visa to enter the country up to and including the Enter Before date on the visa sticker.

Permission to Stay : the period you can stay in Thailand after entering the country. It has an Admitted Until dare. You must leave the country on or before that date (or apply for an extension of your permission to stay at an immigration office in Thailand).

But my non-o visa will expire on Jan 2 2018 which in that case I must apply for a new non-o visa from my home country like I did last year, right?

Generally there is not a problem doing a border hop with a valid visa. However, avoid the Aranyapathet/Poipet Border as they reportedly don't  like border hops to extend stays in the country.

Are you saying I can apply for an extension of permission to stay even though my visa will expire from an immigration office? just wondering if I understood you right.

The visa will expire then but you can still get a new 90 day entry on or that date.

The enter before date on your visa is just that it does not limit how long you can be in the country.

I totally understand about my next and final 90 day entry before my visa expires on Jan 2nd.

Please correct me if I am wrong, are you saying I can get another new 90 day entry without a new valid visa?

If do an entry on or before the enter before date (January 2nd ?) you will get a new 90 day entry and can stay in the country until it ends.

Yes, there are circumstances under which you can apply for an extension of your permission to stay. There are various grounds on which you can apply for an extension and associated conditions you must meet for the extension to be granted. An example is that if you are married to a Thai, you can apply for a 60-day extension to visit your spouse.

Now everything is clear as I predicted thank you and others for sharing.:WPFflags:

I'm sure you know already but just in case you weren't necessarily planning to go back to your home country you could just nip over to a neighboring consulate to get a new non o visa

On a 1 year none O visa you can get 15 months in Thailand, go out a couple of days before the visa expires and come back in the same day you will get 3 months stamp as long as your is still valid. Next time you will have to apply for new visa.
