Case # next to departure stamp

Featured Replies

I have made 4 visits to Thailand between Oct 2016 and today, but when I left the last time the immigration officer wrote down what looks like a case file number below my departure stamp. My other departure stamps don't have it.

Anyone else had this happen to him? I'm a bit worried I will be held for questioning now for my next visit.

I always get the visa on arrival, but think I will go the embassy before now to get a visa before entering the country, but still wonder why they wrote it down. I read on the forum here that after 5 or 6 visits they may question you, but I 'only' have 4 visits.

Are sure it is a case number? It could be the officers ID number.

Can you scan or take a picture of the stamp and post it?

I thought about including a picture, but if it's really a case file, and someone from immigration check this forum, then I'm not sure it helps for me.

It's 4 letters followed by 3 numbers ( before it is something that loos like PL ). It's not the flight numbers, that's written above the stamp. All other departure stamps don't have it.

Do officers sometimes include their own ID number with the departure stamp?
