Get a pro, plenty of videos on YouTube on how to do it yourself.

I did it myself and ruined a perfectly good Iphone 5s.

Where are you located ? I am dure there are plenty of pros in your area.

Ha ha the whole Apple business model is to get you to buy a new $1000 phone when the $10 battery in your old one expires.

I had the battery in an iPhone 4 replaced the other day - 500 baht including the cost of the new battery. It's quite easy to do yourself with an iPhone 4 - just a matter of unscrewing the back plate. I'd imagine it would cost about the same for the 4S.

 

@HenryfordThe service fee for Apple to replace out of warranty iPhone batteries is $79 I believe and none of the models prior to the latest release cost anywhere near $1000 so I think you've made a mistake regarding their business model.
