Two more suspects in Phang Nga gang-rape case arrested

Royal Thai Police spokesman Pol Col Krissana Patanacharoen said the Phang Nga Court had approved 11 arrest warrants.

 

Police had yet to arrest the other suspect, he said, since the suspect was not at home when police visited.

 

The alleged gang rape made headlines earlier this month after the girl spoke out about her ordeal. 

 

Based on her evidence, more than 40 men have been interviewed by police. 

 

The rapes are alleged to have taken place between May and December last year at Ban Koh Raed in Phang Nga’s Takua Thung district.

Maybe I have missed to read something here. There is one thing that is strange for me, though.

As serious I see on this, off course. It´s terrible. I have one question, though. How can it be possible that over 40 men enjoyed doing this, just did it between May and December last year.
People enjoying themselfs with something, how disgusting and wrong it might be, usually keep on with it until they get caught. Here some powerful force made them all stop after 8 month?
Did they all go together and found another poor victim/girl, or what happened.

As I say, I might have missed something. If that´s so, than I am happy to be filled in by somebody who is more read in on this than I am.

I go along with you "Get Real" ... this all seems a bit 'suss' to me ... how can a 14 year old suffer 40 rapes, from 40 men, and I presume, multiple times against her will without suffering some physical/medical damage to herself ... "IF" she was against all these rapes ? And then not tell anybody until more recently ? Surely there would have been both Physical signs and mental signs from the young girl of whom you'd think that friends and family would have detected ?

 

I live in Laos, my family originally came from the Country ... upon visiting my wife's old village many years ago, there was this mentally retarded girl/lady who apparently had been frequently raped by her own father when he hit the Lao Cow. However, I was then told by my wife that after Village; Bouns, Basi's, weddings and alike ... when the men felt a bit horny and wanted something different, they turned to this lady ... in the forest, under house, anywhere reasonably secluded .... but not secluded enough from my wife and her village friends who would watch everything that happened ... thus, that's were she learned all about 'sex' in a village with no TV or Porn books etc. .... sad I know ... but she also said that the Mental lady didn't seem to mind .... !!!!

Yes, I have been following this case ... but as usual, there seems to be a lot missing ... perhaps to help prevent protect the young girl, which is good .... but I can't help feel the old "in between the lines" scenario .... ?
