2 year to 5 year licence

Featured Replies

My 2 year licences will expire a few weeks before I can get the Non O visa (got them on a tourist visa).  Will I be able to change them to 5 year after they expire, or do I have to start again?  Or can I do it on a tourist visa?

Thanks

You will need a long stay visa or extension of for a 5 year...If you wait a few weeks you should be OK as long as you don't have probs with the BiB during that time. If a license is over a year out of date then you start from scratch..

Yes, correct.

And in addition: not only the BIB can give you a hard time, also driving without a valid license and getting involved in an accident is not nice.

Thanks, all things being equal, I should be able to apply for my Non O before my licences expire, and get it within a week of then.

Then it's residence certificate(s), medical certificate(s), and off to the land transport office.

Thanks
