I've been openly offered cannabis for sale on Tao from a Thai guy.  The only other place that's happened to me is Railay at Krabi.  I've been searched for drugs twice on Tao whilst riding a motorbike.  My Thai passenger wasn't searched.

 

They sell weed on ALL Thai islands, and on some of them you also see people smoking in bars.

 

The only difference seems to be that MIBs are more greedy on Tao.

 

 

 

no sympathy -  do not touch any drug whilst in thailand it really is that simple !!!

on the other hand if it were me i would tell the cops to keep the bail money 50k  if they dont take that then tell them that youll stay in LOS and wait for court fine of 2.500 baht.

keep the head down and live untill your day at court then off course make very sure mummy buys him a plane ticket out from there soon after court case

Yes no sympathy for you  He is a kid, and if you have some, I wish the worst to yours.

 

 

Sure but Tao is the only island I've openly been offered drugs i.e. without asking.  On most of them you'd have to seek it out.
