Police in Nakhon Ratchasima were on Friday hunting for a man with a red tattoo on his neck who allegedly robbed, attempted to rape and stabbed a woman schoolteacher two days ago, leaving her severely injured.

Police said the culprit wore a full-size crash helmet concealing his face during the attack on Wednesday, but the victim, Sukanya Raksasat, 25, noticed a red tattoo on his neck, which she said looked like English lettering.

The victim was able to fend off the rape attempt, but was stabbed five times.

The assault occurred about two kilometres from Ban Kud Noi School in Si Khiew district where the teacher worked.

She was riding her motorcycle to the school at the time.

Police believe the man is a local resident because he appeared familiar with possible escape routes.

Sukanya was on Friday morning in stable and safe condition at Maharaj Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital when the province’s governor, Wichian Chantharanothai, and local Red Cross chairwoman Natthineeporn Chantharanothai visited her.

Wichian said doctors assured him the teacher was out of danger, but she would have to remain in hospital for at least two more weeks and work on stabilising her breathing, since at least one of the wounds was to a lung.

Wichian said that, if her attacker was still at large, he would have Sukanya transferred to the head office of the province’s Education Zone 1 in Muang district for safety’s sake.

She is under full-time police protection at the hospital, he said.

Could this be the most irresponsible report the Nation has ever printed?

If this would be rapist wants to finish the job, he now knows where to find this unfortunate lady when she has recovered and returns to work.

Why are many of today's post double entries. Repeated sentences..

Another sick individual the should be hunted down like the animal he is.

He could be paid for what he tried to do. Someone else must be behind this.

a woman ? Maybe . ?

Also when i type private messages the sentences are repeated...and the forum works very bad last days, now it's fast though.

Many times it doesn't work at all.

Well, Red Neck Tattoo in foreign language??  That might narrow the field down to a few hundred, suspected local because he knew escape routes  -  criminals often case their targets  and plan for escape, not capture - BIB criminology intelligence never fails to impress me.:coffee1:
