Ooladolla
As stated in the title of this post, I am returning next week from Oz . I've read that some arrivals are required to show 20,000 thb when they arrive. my visa is a non immigrant OA based on retirement. Do I need to carry the cash ? Popular Post ubonjoe
You will not be asked to show 20k baht on entry. They have only been asking those entering with visa exempt and with tourist visas at airports and even those are rare.

They seem most times to be a law unto themselves.

They should not ask for 20k baht when person is entering with a OA visa since that it requires financial proof to obtain. It is hard to predict though at most of the border crossings at the Malaysian border.
HatYai2
We have been that way before on the OA visa and have been hassled but the last time was 3 years ago. The minivan nearly left without us! Many Thanks.
