But at the same time, there doesn't seem to be enough money to arrange for a garbage collection and disposal system for Koh Larn, or a sewage treatment and stormwater handling system and plant(s) for Pattaya, or many of the supposed flood prevention projects that were supposed to get done, and the list goes on and on -- all failures at the essential services that government is supposed to provide... Early teething problems aside on some of those weapons the have proved to be a decisive component of the engagements. Granted the supply chain and ability to muster a large contingent of soldiers also has played a role, but with the exception of the Syrian 'freedom fighters' which were left hanging I can not recall anytime that the side with the US weapons weren't victorious when facing off against Russian/Chinese weapons. I think the Afghanistan war against the USSR is the biggest example of that. One could also point to the 6 Day War and Yom Kipper war as other examples.
